Steering position lock problem hs been solved. Its just a small screw behind steering assembly.. N can be tightened easily

As far as I diagnoses its the upper U-Joint (Technician was calling it "Cross") which making the noise and also technician at the suzuki dealership said the same. Today I try to move the joint when car was stopped and found there was movement plus noise. Talked to suzuki guy and he said he'll talk to suzuki higher management and will get my issue resolved in 3 to 4 days. Hopefully it will.

Ahan thats good you got it diagnosed atleast which is the main thing.. I.. Are you referring cross to the steering joint just near the brake pad"or clutch? I ll check my as well

The upper U joint near the steering wheel. Its new cultus 2018 vxl only 3000 driven it will be covered in warranty.

Just an update problem solved..
It was play in one side outer tie rod end so i replaced it with genuin new ones.

did the dealer replaced the upper joint?? was the problem fixed??
i am having a similar issue in my swift sport, if i try to move with my hand the upper joint, a get a noise, problem is the joint seem to be quite firm, noise is coming from the steering column, near where the lever for steering wheel adjustment is located, have a look at my video
i am placing my hand over the upper u joint, and making a movement back and forth, and the noise comes from the steering column.

Bro in my case problem was solved without any action with the arrival of summer I think it is related to the metal expansion with rise of temperature. Anyhow noise was gone by itself.

Bro mostprobably you have got some play on inside of steering rack which is making it clink.there is a large metal bush which keep intact the tie rod from clunking but with passage of time Millemeters of contraction occur as the tie rod move back and forth on it when we steer right ir left. Althought i cant see the video its unavailable but i am pretty sure thats the case

I am also facing a similar issue with Suzuki Swift 2019 that I hear sound when on little or slightly uneven patches and grainy road. There is no issue in metal parts, bushings and bearings. To my luckI saw car myself on a pit and found small play feel (mm of movement) on holding drive shaft of right side. No such fell on left drive shaft. Is this the cause or the play is normal keeping in view more length of right drive shaft? Should I follow warranty procedure as only 15K done so far? I have been very careful in driving my ride but this issue has done me lows.

Definitly claim.. They will try to say u its normal n dont worry.. But yes you insist on making them take the ride and notice the issue. It will increase in no time..

Thanks for response. Yes, I visited Suzuki Sarwar Automobiles Peshawar and same replies, "Sir suspension bilkul tight hai". Apparently seemed so with signs of no wear. They said all vehicles have this small play as there is "cross" on both ends of this shaft. They did acknowledge the sound as appeared at some instances on pointed stone metallic surface. Was not having time so will visit again. Please guide.
