Hello everyone,
I encountered a very strange issue with my Honda City 2015 1.3 MT today. After driving my car for about 2-3 km in rainy conditions, with a few inches of water on the road, I parked it in the garage. Four to five hours later, when I needed to go somewhere, I started the ignition and everything seemed fine. However, when I tried to engage the reverse gear, I heard a "garrr garr" sound, and the gear wouldn't engage.
I attempted to shift into first gear, but it wouldn't go into any gear. I immediately turned off the car, released the hand brake, and let the car roll back a bit. Then, I tried to engage the gear while the car was off, both with my foot on the clutch and off the clutch. After 3-4 attempts, the gear started engaging fine. I then started the car and drove for about 20-25 km, including a 30-minute parking break, and everything worked perfectly fine.
I'm curious to know why this happened. Could there be any issues with the transmission or clutch?
Looking forward to your insights and advice.
Thanks
