Dear experts. I need your help in figuring out some strange issues with my cultus carby. The problem started when I experienced starting issue such as when rotating the ignition self switch the car took pause before starting. Like if the battery is low. I got battery checked which was ok, then next thing was self starter. I took it to electrician who said its self starter problem. He opened it up and showed me carbon brushes quite done and replaced the starter body with another one. But again same problem remained i.e, when cranking engine it take pauses like self starter is not running smooth. In between this I started hearing knocking noise from engine and upon consulting few mechanics who said that its piston and crank noise I got complete engine rebuilt spending a heavy amount. Then after overhauled engine was started after few minutes of running at workshop there was strange rattling noise from the engine top and we found out that there is broken spring inside distributor. Next day we replaced it with another used distributor. Now the same problem is still there the self starts car with difficulty taking pauses and sometimes it doesn't crank engine rather I hear a noise which you hear when your try to self start an already running engine and another important thing is that when i turn off the engine it doesn't turn off immediately. Engine make strange rattling noise when shutting down
Like gargar noise. I don't have any expertise but I am suspecting something still wrong with electrical system.
Please advise how to troubleshoot the underlying issues.
