Have lived in Karachi all my life and yes quite agreed - from a rehri wala to a prado wala, you never know who is who's chacha and mama.
On Sunday, for a change I had to drive to Gulistan-e-Johar and I was completely unfamiliar with the newer roads there. Even though I had Google Map on, I overshot and landed up in Safoora Goth.
Driving there seemed like being in a video game.
At least wherever you were, you could identify the right lane and your right to the way over somebody coming in from a side lane, there I was completely clueless as to right, left, middle - the only law was whoever is ahead has the right of way and whoever is scary looking has even more right of the way. Indicators don't exist at all.
Be safe the next time!
