Strange Sound from Front wheel city'05

Hi All Pakwheelers,
Need some help from experts. Noticed some strange sound coming from left front wheel. Car is City 2005 model.

Mechanic in Islamabad says, TAWWAY(I guess DISKS) have lines. Get it tooled from Rawalpindi and the sound will be gone. Also suggested that you can buy new TAWWAY or USED instead of tooling.

Question: What should I do?
Cost of tooling?
Cost of Used TAWWAY?
Cost of New TAWWAY?

Where can I get authentic stuff. Please see if you can suggest a place where ladies CAN GO :(. CHAH SULTAN was NOT A GOOD PLACE.

Why did the mechanic say that? Does the sound come only upon braking? If yes then there is a problem with brake rotors (tawway, lol).

If the sound is general, then you need to get the wheel bearings checked and replaced.

and regarding other queries, well the shops for spare parts in twin cities are only existent in Gawal Mandi, Rwp. If thats not the place for you, I think you'll need to widen your pockets a bit and visit honda 3S shops.

Thanks @rollonbigmama for the prompt reply. Yes it occurs when brakes are applied. In fact he showed me the brake rotors and yes, they had lines in them. He said that these should be smooth, not with circular lines.

Your mechanic is correct , the surface needs to be smooth , your best option is to go to the nearest 3s honda , but as the dude reckon u need to widen your pocket for that , but work would be satisfactory , the other option is to tooled the surface but that will be a temporarily solution , the sound would come back after few thousand kms , i wouldnt say yes to used disk , go always for new original ones , about the location , islamabad and rawalpindi people would guide u more on that .

Then ma'am, you'll need to get new brake pads of good quality and get the rotors tooled.

Just get them opened and take them to a "Kharaadia". He'll rub them down to smoothness and will probably charge you upto 500 Rs. Do check them with a slight touch before finalizing with him. They must be smooth as glass.

After that, get them installed with good pads and you're good to go for about 20k kms or so, inshAllah. If the pads aren't good, they'll become all rough and scratched within no time.

There is a mechanic by the name of Akhtar (0300-513-5204).. his shop is opposite Askari Plaza on mall road rawalpindi (there are two cinemas; in between is a small road and only workshop on that road) .. he is reliable, honest and knows his work .. he will give you a good advice plus you can leave your car and he'll get all the work done .. charges are also fair ..

-- tooling is done when the wear is not much, it is as good as putting new disks
-- next best option is used (kabli) but u need an experts opinion to select the best ones

.. wear occurs when disks gets over heated .. there are a lot of reasons for this but remember

-- never cool the disks by throwing water (like on the way to murree)
-- only use quality disk pads
