Hmm, i used that sub in the past and it has better fs than the normal pioneer models. The fs is approax 32 hz and qtc of 0.8. In ported enclosure you can tune it to 35 hz for good SPL. As qtc is high and you are leaning towards the SQ side, sealed is the way to go with this sub.
We need a slightly bigger enclosure than normal, make a enclosure of 1.4 cuft sealed exclusive of driver displacement of 3/4" MDF and stuff it with polyester sheets of 1 inch thickness on all sides. Dont forget to seal all the corners/ sides.
Dimensions will be 14"x 14"x 13"
Driver displacement of 0.07 cuft included
Sub will get an airspace of 1.4 cuft to perform.
You can make sealed enclosure of 1.25cuft net but the f3 will rise above 42 hz and you wont be able to enjoy bit of lows from the sub.
