Sugestins abt '82 560SEL

hi evry i jus wanted to ask wheter tis model benz worth buyin ?n can ne gimme sum info on its specs , maintanance cost(spare parts) n what b its approx "PRICE"

If the car is an '82, then it is not a 560, it must be a 500SEL.

The 560 came in the Second generation from 1986.

The 500SEL is awesome, but the 560 is even better. Very POWERFUL, and luxurious.

THe W126 chassis is probably one of the best from Mercedes. The cars require a lot of maintence but when properly kept, they are very reliable.

Really good to drive as well, because they are heavy cars, they drive very well and the faster you go, the better they feel.

what my experience says that 560 engine gave some serious engine temperature issues.

wel it was 560SEL tat i saw at a showroom , ten as@moneyspanker said it wud be 86 model bcz tha person at tha showroom was also confused abt tha models, it was AD regd(abbottabad) 2 digit VIP number , blak color scratchles condition, but tha next day it i came it wasnt ther ... can neway gimmme n idea of its price ? so shud i luk for another benz of tha same kind ??? bcz i luved it

the W126 560SEL was built from 86-91 chassis code starts with WDB126.039 and the engine code starts from M117.968.

Spare parts are reasonably priced for an old merc and as long as you maintain it and change the fluids & filters regularly it'll not be too expensive. however if the car has had a hard life it'll cost you a fortune to restore and it might give you the occasionaly migrane:P

as far as cost goes it's all down to condition and spec, since even on the 560 most "options" were "extras" so whoever first ordered it woudl have had to equip it with toys.

if you can provide me with pics and a VIN i'll be able to give you an idea of price and a full readout of it's spec. (via email)

Dont know what it will do on CNG but on petrol this is what it can do for days and nights, year in year out!!!

Are you talking about 560 or any other 126? I believe 280 or 300 should give good consumption.
