Suggest a car In a budget of 27 Lacs

Assalamuallaikum Pakwheelers,

I’m seeking some advice on the best car within a budget of 20-27 lacs.

I have a few options in mind:
- CR-Z
- Mira
- Civic Reborn
- Corolla 2012
- Picanto

While this list might seem a bit eclectic, I’m a university student and have saved enough to buy a car. Fuel efficiency is a concern for me since my daily commute is about 25-30 km. As a student, I also want something with a bit of style, which the Mira and Alto might lack.

I’ve heard that the Picanto averages around 10-11 km/L, which isn't ideal. The CR-Z is stylish, but I’m unsure about Honda's IMA technology and the cost of its battery. The Corolla seems underpowered, and coming from a Toyota 1.6, I might feel the difference. As for the Civic Reborn, I’ve heard its average is around 8-9 km/L, which could be problematic.

My priorities are:
- Fuel efficiency
- Reliability
- Power
- Looks

I plan to sell the car after completing my university in about two years.

Your suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

2017-18 Model would fix well in your budget.
Go for the manual one.
A friend of mine recently bought Ciaz in 26-27 lakh budget. Its manual. And gives fuel average as 15-16 within city.

In student life, normally hatch back or compact cars works well
how about vitz/passo? JDMs has next level comfort as compared with pkdms.

then two possibilities.
either you have to increase the budget.
or you have to compromise the fuel economy.

you can buy S140 Crown, MarkX, or 90s E series Mercedes, and i bet every female professors will give you a wink everyday in the middle of class

on a serious note, there is an option for Mazda RX8, 2007/8 model. One of my friend has 5 such cars. One in blue, one red, one black and two others. Since he was moving abroad, hence he put all of them on sale.

Resale is kind of a problem tho..
Is IMA technology successful in Pakistan?
And is the battery readily available in Pakistan..? Especially in Karachi?
Although in the past 3-4 days i have spotted 4-5 CR-Z

Dont all Honda hybrid vehicles have IMA? I see Civic 8th gen hybrids on the road and they are now 16 years old. Vezel, Freed etc all have IMA and are running all over the place. Regarding batteries, the same can be said of any hybrid vehicle starting from a Prius to Santa fe. All need a battery at some time or the other. It is your call..
