Hello Everyone,

I have Honda Civic (2017/18 model) with original tires (39,000 km driven) which i am planning to change soon

Initially i was thinking to replace it with original tires as they are cheap, but as per recommendation of multiple friends on pakwheel I decided to go for Yokohama Advan DB 552.

In market two sizes are available, one is 215/55 R16 and the other one is 215/60 R16 (which as per seller is more in demand),

I am confuse between these two sizes, please suggest which one to buy.

Not much difference between the two.
Stock is always better though so go for 215/55/16.

Bro instead of Yokohama, I would recommend to go for Bridge stone Ecopia, Continental and especially Michelin Energy Saver series instead. Trust me, you will never regret.

Regarding size, I would suggest to stick with the stock one.

Bro! now i make up my mind for yokohama advan db 552. As per research they are the best silent tires and my demand is less noise

Stick to stock size 215/55 R16 which is always advisable.
I have got perelli P7 for my FL 2019 and frankly speaking very impressed with it, so I would suggest to go for perelli P7.

Bro if you have made up your mind then its another thing, however, do keep in mind that wear & tear factor of Advan dB V552 is very high. They are silent, but at the same time, wear away quickly.

Secondly, before purchasing / ordering, please confirm from their official and authorised importer that whether they are available fresh or not? Because as far as I know, they are not being imported here fresh, from at least an year or 02. Details of their official importer are:

If you are interested in buying genuine, imported tyres, with all the duties / taxes paid, ask them about their authorised dealer and only buy from there. Market is filled with mostly smuggled tires.

Secondly, ask them how to identify a properly, genuine import tire? Sometimes, even authorised dealers also sell smuggled tires, since profit margin in smuggled tires is more (I have been a victim myself. Despite many research and working, I happened to buy smuggled tires from authorised dealer of Bridgstone tires in Rawalpindi).

The seller informed me that they are buying from sheikh brothers karachi (which according to him is only authorized importer) and he showed me some stickers (pasted on tires packing) also giving one year warranty .

Ok that sounds reasonable. I changed the tires of my Turbo last month after checking with at least 4-5 of my 'trusted' tire shops and couldn't find V552. Ended up buying Veuro, which is just as well cuz they give the same level of comfort at a lesser price.

You are very right, I also searched alot even from sheikh brothers karachi and the only available yokhama advan db 552 was 215/60 R16 with latest manufacturing date (05/2019) so i opted this.

As per sheikh brothers prices of yokohama tires are going high in next consignment.

I insisted that I need 215 55 R16 nothing else, I guess that's why I couldn't find them. After having used V551 on many of my previous cars, I also had this thought that I should try something different - so now after a long long time none of my current cars have Advan dB.

I used Yokohama earlier and very satisfied. Next time i will try Veuro btw what was the cost of one tire and made by which country ?

When I had bought my CL9, Veuro VE302 were installed on them which were worn so I replaced them with V551 which was my tried and tested tire of many cars. Even new V551 seemed a bit noisier than those outgoing VE302. So I had a bit of prior experience with Veuro which gave me the confidence to go for them now.

Now these Veuro VE303 215/55R16 cost me Rs. 16k per tire, but their list price these days is Rs. 16,750/-. Made in Japan manufacture 1719 which is like April 2019. In hindsight I'm glad I went for them because they are super soft and quiet and there are absolutely no issues with grip even in Turbo.
