Suggest family car in 10-14 lakh budget

Hello PakWheelers,

Kindly suggest me a good family car with following requirements

1. Family car (Sedan)
2. Economical (both Maintenance cost and fuel consumption)
3. Budget is 10-14 lakhs
4. 95% of my drive is within Lahore

Looking forward for good suggestions.

Which one of the following is better choice?
Honda City
Eagle Eye
Reborn
Corolla SE Saloon
or any other?

I think you can get 2002 to 2008 corolla GLI in this price bracket. Better consumption, good suspension, cheap parts and good resale value. Fully family car.

I think you should check on pakwheels search...just give price range and you will have the best car that fits your need..

Pakwheels doesbt have any cities below 16​.Even 2009 ones I thoguht maybe you were selling one.

are you sure its fuel consumption will be good? because its horse power is not enough for such a heavy body.
That's why I was thinking about 2002-2005 SE Saloon which will have 1.6L engine or may be 2006 Altis 1.8L

One of my office colleagues had bought a Toytota SE Saloon 2005 but later sold it. He said the economy was low; about 8/9 kmpl. He instead bought a Toyota Belta since the economy was much better.

Toyota Altis 1.8 is also a good option as I have heard from fellow PWs that the economy is +11 kmpl due to a more efficient engine.

Honda City and Toyota Gli are grossly underpowered. I have ridden in both and the drive is not that smooth.

Manual transmission one,s give 10-11 km/l in city.Same case with Altis.Auto varients of these cars give poor mileage in city

If Ground Clearance is not an Issue then Go for Toyota Platz or Belta.
The Spares are same as Old Gen Vitz.

Platz models in Pakistan are pretty old same like Lancer so I guess would be pretty hard to find car in good condition.

It will give you around 12-13.5Km/L in Lahore City with A/C

Why not go for city. You will find in reasonable condition a 2009-11 model in unique color (golden or blue). Good fuel average, sedan, and overall tested and tried on local roads. Search olx, go to a good mechanic near you and ask him to recommend or use your family/friends circle. Just fyi I found a city on PW for 19 after 2 visits deal was done in 17 so these days demand is skyhigh ppl are writing above their expectations in ads no harm in negotiating to within your range.

I beg to differ; Corolla GLi has one of the best rides I have ever experienced in a PKDM sedan, very good suspension, they are under powered yes, but not too much. You need to dial up the engine if you want to go quick, but when it goes, it goes. They actually ride better than anything Honda is making locally, this is coming from a Honda fanboy (me). E140 Corolla sedans also handle very well, contrary to popular belief.

Corolla is definitely more suitable for rough roads than civics and cities.People say corolla has bad handling but Ae100 and E140 have pretty good handling.
