Suggest me home cinema projector

hello guys

please suggest me a good budget projector for home cinema use i dont know about the features(technical specs) so guys help me out to buy a good projector for movies,Tv, gaming purposes

there are two types of projector available these days. 1st are DLP (also called LCD lamp) other sare LED lamp projectors.
LED lamp has less brightness but longer life (chinese are available in range of 20000 but no use to buy bcz of lacking reliability, good brand like dell, hp.....hell expensive).
DLP projector's lamp life is almost 6000hours (in projectors, lamp life is key function to check). i recently impoted one for class room lectures as well as movies at home purpose, it costed me almost 27000, result is very good. its OPTOMA.
i suggest u to buy always new, not used.

which one you imported and how can i check the lamp life?

i bought OPTOMA DLP..bought from ebay and my cousin took it for me from UK.lamp life is easy to check, its on screen display shows remaining as well as elapsed lamp life, untill it is reseted but in case if it is reseted, projector condition tells the story abt its use. always go for new in case of such stuff. as for as i know, in our local market OPTOMA projectors are available in 45000 to 60000 range

There are LCD projectors and DLP projectors

projectors are aimed at two types, office/classroom with high light output, usually computer native resolutions, and home theatre projectors with less output but better colors, and DVD or HD vdo resolutions and aspect ratios.

Panasonic, Sony, Epson were focusing on LCD projectors ( dont know about current )
Optoma, Viewsonic, hp, BenQ, mitsubishi on DLP projectors

for home theatre, depending on budget, i would recommend optoma HD20, epson 8350 or panasonic ptae4000

After the lamp life finishes then? will have to change the lamp?

yes, after expiry of lamp, you need to replace it. it will display msg that lamp is gonna be expired, sign of expiry is that brightness wll go on decreasing. changing lamp is bit expensive. just think to change cartridges o inkjet printer, same is to change he lamp. but itd not so worry, lamp lasts long.for example, the projector i bought, has 6000hours lamp life.it means that if i use 3 hours daily without any day missing, it'll work for 2000 days, means almost 5.5 years which is quit long. so for personal use, its life is quite good.LED projector is better option but its brightness is less and not enjoyable much.chinese LED projectors cost almost 20k to 25k but CHLEIN TO CHLEIN NA CHLEIN TO MRZI

I am sure you have made the decision because of a certain reason. To my mind, anything with front projection or rear projection gives a blurry result. Besides, projection equipment has issues of replacement of expensive bulb, power consumption, requirement for dim lights in the surroundings, etc.

I think it is better to invest in a good quality home theatre unless you need very large size of image.

but home theaters or LCD TVs are also very costly like the one introduced by samsung costs 54k...and also the screen size is bigger than the LCDs and i am not movies lover but want a good system for Simulation games

i don't know exactly about bulb cost, u can check at ebay.co.uk
its not wise decision to go for projector for movies only or for gaming only bcz its for portable and presntation purposes, movies/gaming is extra option.reliable, long life for home use is tv only (although i myslf mostly use my projector for movies).
anyways i said earliar, lamp replacement is not big issue as u'll need it after almost 5 years.surrounding light is also not big issue, i use it in normal room light and happy with.i can post pictures at week end abt how it look like

don't know about screen bcz i don't use it. at home, i have walls white cemented, so works very fine and in class room, i have full size white boards, so never needed screen. but if u need, i have a tricky idea. get some politicians penaflex banner, use it from back side.i always use these for kitchen shelves during election season:P......thats best i can serve for these bloodies.............

its remote can also control mouse curser on the screen so as to ease the use while presenting or watching movie, no need to go near PC, just use remote of projector to operate.
