Guys Suggest Top 3 Point & Shoot digital camera models in each Brand

Nikon , Sony, Canon

Canon is best; then Sony.
buy a canon Powershot A series or if you have more money then buy then canon Ixus IS series. you wont regret it. canon makes best point and shoot cameras.
giving verdict for top three is impossible. all cameras are good and depend on customer choice.
Canon A3300IS and A3200IS are hot cameras these days. also high optical zoom cameras(though expensive) are in too.

Bro IMO it'll be not good.
Reason: Sensor is same 1/2.3" and adding more pixels will only downgrade the IQ. Its just a marketing gimmick to add pixels. 10MP are enough for these sensors

The king of all compact digital cams is Canon PowerShot G12 and nothing can beat it in image quality in this category. But it is expensive and very limited zoom.

If you need medium zoom with top image quality then go for Panasonic Lumix FZ-35K (FZ-38 in Europe). Don,t go for its newer model which is FZ-100 as image quality is not as good as FZ-35K.

If you require ultra zoom with good image quality then Canon PowerShot SX30 IS is the choice.

Canon S95 is very good in low light photography if that is what you would be shooting.

Sony HX100V is the new entry in the competition and looks impressive but nothing really from Nikon is this category that can compete above cams.

I personally own Canon G9, Panasonic FZ35-K and Canon EOS Rebel T2i. For me if there is anything under DSLR that gives maximum Manual control then that is FZ35-K. I have uploaded some Panasonic FZ35-K images in Photography thread.

if you want to see how it performs at any moment, visit flickr and write canon powershot s95. There are many photos which will satisfy you. Moreover this camera is used by many pros as a backup camera so you can imagine its IQ

From where and for how much you bought the FZ35?

I purchased it from Amazon and total cost was around 34K but now since i think it has been discontinued, the prices for new cam have gone up and it would cost around 40K with shipping.
