Suggestion for aqua

Asalam O Alikum

we are in shah ALLAH planning to buy aqua , and need some guidance.

this will be our first hybrid car so we did not know still any thing except look , just google i get that we need to check battery but what percentage of batteryshould be good ? 80+ ? and what average is good ? what other things i need to check and what are the standards i should look , like if milage is 100k above i did not have to buy or only buy 80+ percentage battery, if you can please suggest some , yes my budget is aroud 30 lacs or near , any suggestion is welcome

2014 or 2013 aqua mostly on ventilators if u want trouble free go for 2018+ models.

Expecting battery life of 10+ years old car to be in optimum range is not a logical idea (brand new oem replacement not available in Pak, and may cost nearly half the value of car). Unlike engine, battery looses efficiency w.r.t time if not used. Such old batteries will already be problematic, if not completely dead, irrespective of charge cycles and miles (which also add to is degradation).
You can search tesla graveyards and find out why those cars became useless for people.

Thanks all fo reply, and suggestin and that what no body else told me so what option i have for a good car around 30 lacs, are those cars selling in market 2012 to 2014 all are dead models almost

2018+ will cost too high, should i go for FIT car or any other good model? Yes i definatley want trouble free car as that will be mostly driven by females to pickup for school etc and i must need comfort?

Also thank for such honest reviews but that all what you mentions are problems? if you an also suggest solutions that will be helpful, as your views really upset me what to do now? I know your views are honest and even my friend who owns a showroom did not tell any such thing and suggest to go with around 35 lac car and tell me 80+ battery is good and trying to find a good car for me but here i know your views are honest as not body have any financial benefits

NO Idea brother, i am almsot dump with cars , just want to but a good car for family , might be pakwheel inspection can give me idea about things in car, that why i posted here what to check and how to check, people like me buy cars once after 5-10 years so we did not know what to check and how to check and which model is good. Only thig we can do is to trust on showroom owner or so , i know mostly we are in loss but we did not have much options

sir in PK hybrid cars are 99% Japanese Domestic models from auction houses. 3 years old at time of import/registration in PK.

as read and understood JDM model cars does not have any brand new spare parts support for engine parts, mechanical parts and for body parts like lights grills bumpers etc etc. Hybrid cars have a high capacity battery which also have a date at which it needs to be replaced.

if you are new to such purchase task please engage someone from family or friends who own 2 / 3 cars and have idea of vehicle maintenance and care. there are plenty of registered complaints for pakwheels inspection for their corruption and providing misleading information, so that service be avoided. engage somebody from a reputed workshop agree to pay his time & fee for performing inspection of your chosen car. it may take few cars & few thousand rupees before you can come across a nice vehicle at reasonable budget.

in my opinion a hybrid car registered in PK before 2021 (model year 2018) shall be avoided.

Buy any car except hybrid in Pakistan, wrt your budget

Please understand that showroom owners, be it anybody, exist for making money and are least interested in what you face after buying such car. If this is something you require for a female driver, i would strongly suggest to consider Pakistani manufactured car which has strong parts and maintainance support. In small automatics, Suzuki swift can be be considered in this budget, in compact sedan category, Honda city can be an option. Try to get the lowest mileage car available from first owner (which will usually be a little more expensive than the normal budget of that car).

Yes, your are right but we cannot afford that, so people like me have almost no option, to buy a good car, my uncle buy almost new alto and we old 12-15 year old mira and beleive me driving 12-15 old japanese car is more comfortable then new alto (might be its their personal car problem) gear make noice when we change it and drive was not so comport , so familydoes not like atleast those car.

So in short, even we try our best to make the most of our budget we cannot make good enought to buy a decent car, we must had to go with an average or low average car, in our budget

Please avoid honda fit between 2014-2016. Have transmission/gear issues with overheating due to dct transmission and replacement cost is high.

It is the same platform as the vezel which I had and it was a headache.

I would suggest finding a good, clean, well maintained local Suzuki or something similar as it will save you maintenance headaches and high repair costs in the future.

why are you trying to buy Hybrid ??? saving fuel cost?

in 35 lac u can buy v.good condition Yaris GLI or Ativ probably MT easily... if u consider it.

a) fuel cost
b) shape is good and my family like it
c) we did not need or space for big cars , cars must be small , we have no parking space for big car

I think most of the people are just speculative. I own a 2015 Aqua. The battery is still good as it gives me 20 to 22 kmpl in city driving. It is almost 95k driven. Never faced a single issue in the car. The technology is robust and trouble free. The only maintenance I ever had to go through is engine oil, filters and a suspension work that too recently. It is a G, LED soft leather edition car. Seats are more comfortable than my Grande. It feels very quiet and drive is pretty smooth. Suspension response is crisp that you can expect from any Toyota almost.
