Salam
I hope you are well. I think you should step into the used car market after deciding which car you actually want to buy. It depends on factors such as daily driving and travel distance, family size, affordability of fuel, road conditions in your city and of course your personal taste. Some people prefer manuals and some prefer automatic. I drove a manual for around 15 years and then shifted to an automatic and I feel I should have done it a lot earlier. So do your research as per your needs.
Anyway,
You have a budget of 2 million but then again see if you can borrow some money from a trusted friend or family member and look for a relatively newer car.
Once you have made up your mind about the vehicle make and model then shortlist a few from Pakwheels search option and visit the sellers. Shortlist ads by sellers who have substantial ownership and maintenance history and always go for cars who are in the name of the seller. Avoid dealers as in most instances they have absolutely no idea about ownership history and they waste your time. Take test drives and compare the conditions and features. Also notice the sellers attitude which can be a deal maker at times or a deal breaker.
Finding a good used car is a bit tricky. Do the Dua of istakhara every time you go to a seller. It helps a lot and Alhumdulillah I have benefitted from it while both buying and selling my cars. I bought a used 2010 model car last year on 30th December and Alhumdulillah have driven it more than 20k kms so far. But it took me a month or so to find it. But then again a friend of mine recently bought a used car it took him just a single day.
My Duas that you find a car that you may benefit from richly InshaAllah.
