Suggestion For purchasing a New TV

Hello guys.
I am planning to buy new TV for my living room.
I want to have 55" TV specially for PS5 and movies. TV must have gaming features like HDMI 2.1(Atleast 2 ports for 2.1) ALLM, VRR and obviously 120+ refresh rate.
TV must be reliable and pocket friendly.
I have TCL c745/c755 in my mind but not sure either should i go for TCL or not.
LG and Samsung are offering good models but too much expensive here.

So please recommend something good which I can easily buy in Pakistan.

I cant advise you about the specific models you mentioned but I am using a different tcl model for over 10 years and no problems so far therefore i will recommend tcl.

I am using Samsung Q70A for the last two years. Its a good brand and I would suggest the newer model Q70B or C.
It's worth spending more.

Try to buy a mini LED tv if you want better brightness and colors.. I think TCL 845 is the one. But quite expensive.

TCLs high end models like C7 and C8 series are generally fine.

However they’re Chinese so can have bugs here and there in their OS. I also have one of these and sometimes run into bugs specially when connecting external devices wirelessly.

Only buy Samsung or SONY if you can afford their high end models.
Do not go for budget models in these as they generally lack a lot of features.

That is a Neo QLED tv that is based on mini LED tech so would be good I believe!

Prefer Samsung or Sony in high end category over Chinese brands like TCL.

Been using TCLs for more then 5/6 years atleast 4 TVs at home.

They are perfect. If money isn't a problem Samsung rings all the bells. And is avaliable with local warranty.

Stay away from Sony, Too many complains.

TCL is ok for the most part specially C series which is the one worth getting, but will cause some software bugs here and there.

Also cost much less than a Samsung so if someone’s on a
budget TCL makes sense, specially the C series which is good. Except bugs here n there like I said.

Visit Samsung brand store in your city and buy from them. Also check Samsung Pakistan website. If this model or price is listed there, then its on local warranty.

I am also planning to buy a tcl TV for my father for casual viewing. Do you recommend buying P series or C series if main requirement is to just watch live channels?

UHDs are alot cheaper then the QLED models.

Since you have hands on experience of both P & Q series models, you may be able to guide me correctly as I am stuck between P755 & C655.
Do you think extra price of Qled as compared to UHD is justified and warrant buying when comparing picture quality for casual viewing?

P755 looks inferior in the sense that it does not have built in Chromecast (if important to you), has little low brightness than C655 and likely a bit duller colors as it has lower contrast ratio.

Both have 60Hz refresh rate, not higher like 120Hz but it does not matter if you don’t play PS5 or computer connected games that go at 120hz (most games are 60hz).

You will have to see both side by side to make a final judgment, visit any TCL center or a big electronics shop to get an idea.

If you feel the difference is not huge you can save the extra 1 lakh.

If one does not have budget issues I advise getting the Mini LED TVs as they have significantly better brightness, contrast and general picture quality. Like C855 and C755.

Yes, You should see them both side by side, I couldnt tell the difference between Q Led and UHD unless i saw them side by side.

if size matters to you, Then you can get a 55 inch UHD in the price of a 43" Q LED.

Technology of Qled is definitely better and is quite visible during side by side comparison in display centers, esp in the HD videos that they play.
May be casual tv viewing through tv box of PTCL will also be better in C655.
Did you notice any infamous clouding effect in your C series tv?

No issues as such that I remember. One TV had to get repaired. I'm not sure of the issue. But I called in a repair guy and he fixed something. I didn't claim warranty.

All TCL tvs bought from TCL stores have been trouble free with the oldest one atheist 7 years old now.

TCL tvs brought through third party vendors or referral I've had issues.
