Dear Gurus and Pakwheelers
I will be travelling to Kashmir in mid August with my wife for a short time. Mainly I will cover Neelum valley but thinking to attempt Leepa as well for a day or two but coming across following confusions, please help me decide;
• I have allocated 4 days from Muzaffarabad to Muzaffarabad for Neelum valley (Day 1 Muzaffarabad to Kel, Day 2 Kel to Arang Kel and back, Day 3 Kel to Taobat and back & Day 4 back to Muzaffarabad), I understand that exploring Neelum valley requires more time but I have already been there 2 years back. Except these 4 days I can spend up to 2 days in Leepa also but i'm confused that whether I should add these 2 days to Neelum. One thought I am having that I have been to Neelum so Leepa would be some thing new for me but my wife hasn't been to either valleys.
• Secondly If I am going to Leepa, should I go there first or keep the Neelum first? I am going to stay for night at Muzaffarabad and will start heading to either direction from early morning.
• My third concern is about NOC for Leepa as I don't have any close links in Army, should I concern about it or I can get it easily?
• Plus can I rely on public transport as hiring private vehicle for just 2 persons won't be feasible? Also considering that If I have to obtain the NOC, I would have to make a stop at Hattian Bala DC office then again look for transport to reach Reshian then a public jeep for Leepa.
• By what time should I expect to reach Leepa/Noukot rice fields If I start in the morning from Muzaffarabad on public transport and also stop to get NOC and where can I stay in Leepa if it got late, would I get sufficient time to visit rice fields in Leepa that day?
• Would it be worth it to visit Leepa in mid August in terms of beauty of the corps?
• If going to Leepa, would it be wise to add Cham waterfall to the plas as well?
• If I skip Leepa and add these 2 days to Neelum I can visit Shounter (I have already been there once in 2015) or Upper Neelum or Jagran or any other nearby place I should opt for?
