Suggestion Req.: ZIC A+ Mileage for oil change

I have recently spoke to an authorised person at Hi Tech Lubricants, the dealer of ZIC oils in PK, and he suggested me that the ZIC A+ can run good upto 12K kms.

I have a 2004 Cultus and its already 7K kms driven over ZIC A+. According to that person it can still last and changing oil is of no good use. The oil in my car itself is still going strong.

What do you guys suggest, should I go on with it for some more kms or should I change it?
Your two cents plz...

zic ka muje nai pata but mobil1 can last upto 10-12k!

bro galat kehta hai ZIC can last upto 6k max but i would recommend change after 5k..quality is reduced a lot now.its not the same ZIC avaialble a year ago.Poor quality now..I have chaged to CASTROl MAGNETIC now..dure to significant reduction in quality..

Can you tell me what API is ZIC A+. I might tell you how much mileage you can do, also tell little bit about condition of your car engine.

ZIC A+ is SM printed onto it so basically it should go beyonf 10000km but i thnk it not SM actually as worldwide it has not a good rating..I

people usually get it changed after 4 to 5k....

ZIC A+ is an API SM 5W/30 Grade that I have currently. Now the new one they are offerring is 5W/20 though.

My car is 2004 Cultus and Engine condition is excellent and is running mostly on CNG. I have checked the oil manually myself as well as my mechanic, and the oil viscosity is still there pretty much...

use a genuine oil filter and zic XQ is u want to change near 10k

i used to flush out A+ at 4000 km's max.....

I have just checked the oil, and after 7000 Kms its viscocity is still there. The color has been turned to dark brown though. I think I should give it a one month more shot. Changing synthetic oils earlier is of no good use, thats what they are made of to last more!
One thing that can lead to more oil life could be regular city driving usage of the car possibly, as I dont do long drives that much (very casually).

Again if its giving you around 8K kms for oil changing durations, I think its a very good oil then. I have used Helix Ultra, Castrol GTX and Havoline previously too, but after 3-4K kms car feels to lag by and the drive feels no smoother, plus on higher RPMs it felt that you are avenging your car. But this oil is giving smooth drive uptill now.
ZIC A+ turned out to be good in my personal experience and I'll stick to that.
About fake ZIC copies, I'll make sure that I puchase the oil from their head office at Kashif Plaza only this time. Because there distribution lineup and marketing strategy sucks big time!

Atlast changed the oil today Changed after 9000 Kms complete. I think ZIC A+ lasted good for this duration.
Again changed with ZIC A+, this time new packing is of 5W/20, lets see how this ones goes on. Everybody including the ZIC people advised against of ZIC XQ in Cultus as it was meant for higher end cars like Merc or Accord and most suitable for 1.5L+ engines.
ZIC A+ 4 Lit costed me Rs.1570 and if this can give atleast good 8K Kms then its worth the money. What else do you want???

its the lowest quality synthetic oil in the world dont go for 9k kms on this oil or u will ruin ur engine..its not even fully synthetic..its made from base 3 ils which is semi synthtic..wrong info is being given by the company..only in pk it is so hit:P

for pure synthtic either use mobil1 or liquimoli..

using zic A+ in my civic 2005. excellent oil. Oil guy said to change it at 7000km but i change it at 5000km. just keep yourself on safe side.
