Nopes, all units were fixed at the steering column by default (Japanese design). There is nothing in the engine room.
The whole kit cost me for Rs.6000. Could have been half a thousand less, but it was delivered at my mechanics workshop with warranty until fixture. So this way it saved me quite a bucks and most importantly saved hectic efforts going to the Sher Shah market myself (which is a painful experience in khi, atleast for me)
Plus, sometimes you care for better service than a thousand rupee note. Take it this way, the man delivered me the kit. Then I again called him to send over the original wiring grips with a "please" in my statement
He sent over his man again (these original grips are not included in kit by the way). Then the next day, after installation we found that the ECU card is out of order (dead may be), called him again and he sent a replacement again
This is better service, which saved you a lot of trouble for an extra five hundred note
Choice is yours.
Installation charges may be around 3K I think.
I have some different terms with the mechanic as he takes care of my car for a long time and also looks after its insurance things, plus I had some other things done too in the meantime. Thats why he didnt charge any sum exclusively for the installation.
