Asalam-o-alaikum to all!
I am facing problem in my Daihatsu Mira (Model 1997 L-500 reconditioned 2007) EPS system which is, steering has become very hard while turning to the left, however turning to the right is soft/powered. I had recently done steering rack work and I know mechanic (suspension wala) has done something wrong either with the wiring or with the torque sensor, because before the work EPS was perfectly fine and working. Alignment wala told me to first steering rack bushes work get done before alignment.
now the questions are:
How to check whether sensor is dead or malfunctioning ? (from where I should check this problem, please suggest shop)
If sensor is dead then would I able to get new sensor in the market (please suggest in which market I will be able to find this sensor and what would be the cost of sensor.)
another question arise, if sensor is damaged/lost while steering rack working; so why steering half powered and half is hard. it should have either fully hard (while turning left or right) or it should have turn into normal steering. just my thoughts.
experts advise is needed!
Thanking you in anticipation!
