Suggestion Required Regarding Upgrade to Honda Civic Rs Turbo

Dear all Iam planning to upgrade to Civic X RS Turbo in next month. Currently iam using Civic 9th Gen 2015 full option which i also purchased new from Honda Center Rawalpindi. The guy there assured me that there is no knocking issue and deliveries will be made from July 19 onwards.
Want your suggestions that whether should I go for it or not
Also will there be any possibility of price reduction of Turbo variant in case of FED reversal in 1.8. Also any further upgrades to be given by Honda Atlas in one year like i said someone saying on PW that DCT transmission or Ultra etc.

FED reversal will not affect 1.5 civic. Facelift is expected in 2021 when IMC launches new corolla.

Turbo is in entirety different league!
If you are mentally prepared to take a financial hit at ressle and would prefer a car that puts a smile on ur face everytime you take it and floor the pedal then go for turbo.
Ultra, facelift, DCT etc ko goli maro... this crap is coming from a single extremely deluded person so better ignore him.
And yes there are rumors of Kia & Hyundai launching their 1.6 turbocharged cars but when would that happen and what price tag it will have, no one knows for sure.
Its your decision to make and own it later.

Wait and see first.

Supposedly Honda had already tested 1.5T before launching and see how that turned out there was so much issue of knocking. No problems with the engine its the problem with the fuel but regardless they are saying they have tuned the ECM or ECU (maybe running rich now) to avoid knocking but i dont trust anything from HONDA

Wait and see how turbo survives this time and then buy.

You can say that again. R18 is essentially the same engine that Honda has been giving us since 2006.

But if you can go for Turbo , then you will not regret it but thoroughly enjoy it

Thanks guys, i hope it’s like that. My cousin bought and regretted till end due to knocking coil issues and stuff. I personally prefer turbo but if if after paying 40 lacs and still you get random faults that’s a big L. For me personally i have seen my cousin suffer after this haven’t seen somebody near me driving TURBO.
