i am looking for Toyota Ist 2006 1st generation I want to know about its performance reliability and fuel consumption Couldn't find any reliable info on PW / GOOGLE will appreciate all kind of info from its owners and experts thank you !

walaikumsalam Mechanically its same as the vitz/platz because that's what it is based at albeit a raised suspension etc. so performance and reliability will be same as a vitz or platz. It will use more fuel as it has bigger tyres and heavier body etc. I don't own one but a close friend does if you have any more specific question let me know.
One word of advise though is its ride is very firm so not a comfortable car at all especially at low speeds on our potted roads.

Previously i had city 2010 which has very stiff suspension yesterday i had ist with me for around 5 to 6 hours i found its suspension little comfy as compared to city and its drive is very nice and a very powerfull hatch back it is having 2nzfe under hood which is used in current gli and xli the main thing i am worried is about its fuel economy if it can give anything above 10kmpl then it is good for me.

My friend has been getting 10.1kmpl average over the years always measured it brim to brim and it's a mix of driving not just city. So it's not a problem at all as you know it depends on the driving style as well.

Will not suggest this car, parts big issue, 1.3CC engine fuel 8-9 Max.

our member @enerlevel use to own back in 08 - 09 I drove it alot. nice drive but Karachi side mirror and window brake, and buying and searching spares - sucks.

JDM's as they grow old they start becoming a mess.

Yup bro you are right about body parts but engine parts will not be an issue because of our very own 2nzfe engine you are right that as time passes some jdm cars become nothing but a mess but not a well maintained car it will serve my purpose of chull

In short i am just buying it for my chull and to have an experience of one small powerfull jdm

Thats not expensive chull i think that every car we keep and if we maintain it properly will not give you huge loss when selling whether its a market car or not .
You can go for any multimedia system if you are intersted in chinese stuff you can get one for 11k to 15k they do support steering control all the chinese stuff are almost same just dabbe (box) and name difference.
If you want some quality stuff then go for pioneer 7inch dvd some models support multi steering control options.

P.S i installed one chinese dvd 8inch screen with panel in my honda city 2010 for 11k and back camera for 1k i kept city for 6 months and the chinese stuff served its purpose very n0 laging or any issues what so ever .

Yup it has low market thats why it is hard to find a clean Ist and easy to sell it. And yes you are right about about body parts .
But i made up mind for this one will see what happened in future.

Congrats ...its a excellent car..i also have one.....giving me approx 11-12km/l in city with AC. Infact i havent notice any significant difference with or without Ac. Whats you Car doing.
