Suggestions needed for 2007 model Liana misfiring

I got a 2007 model liana an year back. It gave me no problems during that time. However since the last 3 weeks it has driven me crazy.
It all started when one fine day my car gave a misfiring / patakha kind of sound and the car stopped. It restated almost immediately but the rpm needle was going crazy and the car was making spitting and hissing sounds. I turned kff the car ac and after a few minutes car sound normalized and I was on way. Also the heat needle did not cross the middle.
I got it checked from my regular mechanic and he checked my gasket which was fine, washed my radiator and filled it with coolant.
The very next day the same problem happened and again I took the car to him. This time around we checked the fuel injectors and had them clean. However the problem did not resolve.
Upon discussing it with the person I bought the car from he suggested me to Mithu Khan and have my ignition coils replaced since when the same happened with him 4 years back he did the same.
I got the ignition coils received and was coming home when just when I was about to turn the corner the same damn problem occurred. I went back and even the Mithu Khan ppl were surprised. Now I had the sensors checked via the computer (had them checked manually before ). The O2 sensor was faulty and we removed the grip to bypass it. However the problem persisted and after tinkering around for an hour the diagnosis was that the problem is mechanical.
Now my question is that what exactly can be wrong? I have had almost everything checked and am still no more nearer to the solution after 3 weeks have passed. Also the misfiring and car stopping has increased drastically with the rising heat.
Help and suggestion would be most appreciated. BTW I am located in Rawalpindi (Bahria Town)

AOA bro well the first thing is that change the 02 sensor do not by pass it second again check the diagnose after installing new 02 sensor and also check the spark plugs and air filter hope you find solution

Ok.... but my question is that does problems in the O2 sensor cause car to misfire and shut off like crazy? Also the spark plugs and air filter is fine. ..

Bro misfiring mostly happened in liana due to bad coils and also bad spark plugs its issue pick up and fuel to but in your case when you did computer checkup so the problem came in front is 02 sensor in most case 02 sensor create issue of fuel effect but i also suggest that you should check all the wiring of your car to sometimes wiring goes bad and that kind of issues happened.

My car also had patakha issue initially...only the plugs change to oem ones and tightening of air filter box solved the issue - its almost 2 years now and no patakha...another reason of patakha is water in fuel injectors in case you have washed the engine bay...

Btw, if your car is missing badly on cng and fine on petrol, this is a one of the biggest sign of coils bad. Everyone says coils are bad for every smallest of reasons even although coils are actually some real tough cheez! My car is with ff coils and completing 121k kms. They are only a bit weak but works perfect...mechanics are asking since 20,000km before to change them but why should i when they are fine

I have replaced the O2 sensor. So far no issues reported but only tested the car at night and it wasn't so hot then. Tomorrow I will get to know for sure...

According to them it's a gasket issue but it is not giving the classical signs of gasket such as over heating, water bubbling etc.

I have not had cng put in the car even once in the last year since I got it... the problem is on petrol..

Go for plug change...NGK bkr 6e is the oem plug...dont try any performance enhancing plugs or non oem.. Also see if the air filter box is tightly sealed...these two worked for me and no patakhas at all since 2 years now

After driving the car for 10-15km just tell me what's the condition of coolant bottle? It's too hot or mild?

And misfiring is on idle or on higher revs?
