Suggestions Required - Buying Suzuki Ciaz

Hey everyone , so i am planning on buying Ciaz Manual Transmission in a week , i wanted some opinions on whether it is a good decision or not. I have kept City 2015 , Gli 2013 and Gli 2018 in the past . Right now I've been carless from the past 3 weeks as i sold my gli '18 . Been sharing car with my father and he is telling me to get mine as soon as possible . I don't want to buy the obsolete City again although my father wants me to. I don't want to spend more and get Gli again as I've had many embarrassing moments in the mountains with it plus i would have to stretch my budget which i do not want to for the same car i bought in 2018 for 22 and now buying the same underpowered giant for 28. I'm planning on getting the manual ciaz as 4 speed auto does not sound appealing and i perfer driving a manual car .

So please if any ciaz owner can help clarify some of my concerns , Would greatly appreciate it.

1. I visited some suzuki showrooms yesterday and all brand new ciaz's engine's have rust in them and the salesman thinks it's normal .
2. How much do you think it'll depreciate if i sell it in 2 year as my ultimate goal is to buy a civic but because of budget constraints i am unable to atm.
3. What if suzuki discontinues it how would it impact it's market.
4. I want to install fog lamps , navigation , Nice set of wheels and some audio modifications will it void the warranty of an already risked decision I'm taking.
5. Will parts be available easily if needed suzuki claims they'll arrange it in 7 days.

Also what other car do i buy in the budget . I only want a brand new car and will use it for 2 years . As you know most of us aren't used to car's depreciating due to our market but I'm willing to take the risk as i like the shape of the car . Thank you

Its CBU at the moment. I have read in any thread that someone sold ciaz after 450K km driven, as that car was running for office work from one city to another. it is underpowered car but itni b buri nahi k embarrassment level pe le jae, people from hilly areas are using on daily basis. Anyways I am not ciaz owner, So you been to showroom and see the builtin quality is not bad at all. Yes buying a manual car is good for fuel economy if you dont have a problem with manual gear. Dont know about rusty engine story. If you are aiming for civic, why dont you buy 9th gen civic instead?

You can either buy ciaz and use it forever (because you won't be able to sale it due to dead resale) or you can buy obselete 3rd generation city and switch to anyother car whenever you want (due to good resale).

You're right , it'll be a lifetime thing with ciaz but how much money would i loose if you can give an estimate keeping in mind if the car is in perfect genuine condition after 2 years

Brother i will advise dont go for ciaz. Might be newer but same fate as Liana. Back in 2011 i mistakenly bought Liana for 1169000. Drove till 2018 and after head and toe effort sold for 800000. So inteatd of buying brand new Altis i end up buying 3 year old one. So if youbintent to buy civic then go for city for the time being or altis 1.6 used one and then save money for civic. Ciaz will never allow you to buy new civic with its resale.

I would say, Ciaz is a good, value for money car, and much better than City in all respects (other than resale).

I do not think, it's normal. If you would be interested in going for Ciaz, buy it on booking, instead of immediately buying from market / showroom. You might have to wait for some time, but hopefully, you might get freshly imported unit, free from any such issues.

You can also press the sales person / booking person that you will check and confirm that whether it has been imported after booking date, or before it. If before booking date, you will not accept the car.

If its current price is 23 lac PKR, then after driving for 02 years, you might be able to easily sell it for 18-19 lac PKR / more, provided your vehicle is in top notch condition, 100% non-accidental, and fully-maintained.

I do not think, it will impact much, and I do not think that it is getting discontinued any time soon.

I think, YES! But you may first confirm. Installing any / all such items in even Honda and Toyota might also void warranty.

Yes, they will be available, but not necessarily in 07 days time frame.

An 18lakh [if i rmbr correct] manual ciaz when launched in 2017, drove 350k in approx 3yrs and sold for 14lakhs....i think the main dip in value is bcause of high mileage.

Brother for now you'll think ciaz is perfect. But after purchasing it, with time you'll realize you need to upgrade. May be not now but after 2 3 or 4 years. Then you won't get any call when you'll post vehicle on PakWheels and those very few callers will expect a magic drop in price, eventually hurting you hardly with stupid offers. And oneday you'll be selling it at a throwout price may be!

I know a guy who bought automatic one on installments and had paid 19 lacs to bank so far. And asked me to buy it for 10 lacs and to pay rest of the installments (9 lacs in 30 months i guess). It was 44k driven. I still didn't bought it. Although it was a wonderful car, but we all get tired after a year 2 of driving same vehicle.

Resale really matters a lot for me atleast, because i feel like i should upgrade my car after 2 years or so.

On most forums i see people recommended ciaz as they have it. Lol. People who recommended actually don't even consider the car as an option and want to experiment on others.

Haha its the same i purchased 6 months ago. Didn't upgrade yet. Hectic schedule isn't letting me to sale this one and to buy another one. Will start my research in december. Thanks btw.
