Suggestions required for upcomming tour

I am planning to visit Minimarg in Mid September. I have a civic 2007 and Corolla 2006 GLI. I prefer civic on long routes as it is more powerful and comfy what do.guys suggest. Would it be ok to.take civic to Minimarg or Corrola.

Secondly, How and from whom do I get the permission to visit Minimarg???

You should take corolla bcoz of better clearance. And dont take it to minimerg.hire a 4x4 from astore for minimerg

For permission if u have a reference in army utilize it. Otherwise you have to go to assistant commissioner office in astore for permission

I went to deosai on Corolla last year with out any issue. I have seen latest minimarg videos. Looks like Corolla can easily go there.

Minimerg is a different game boss... like at burzil top the u turns are very steep for a car to handle...i have been there twice and i see no chances of a car reaching there...

I can give u an example...we stopped at a place near burzil top..we had a suv ...while moving again the vehicle had to be shifted to 4x4 to move...the slopes along with the impact of height are not doable by cars

Minimarg is too risky for a car. The sharp turns and steep slopes etc with complimentary no roads. Even 4x4 jeeps sometimes struggle or so was the case when i went there as it was raining and snowing at Burzil top in mid August. So better not take such a risk. However you may go till chillam in car and then hire 4x4 from there though make sure you have permission to enter as the area is very close to LOC...

bhai when we went to chillam to go for minimarg we got a 4x4 from there with slight help from army officials present and it cost us around 8000/- total round trip of minimarg and domel

maybe it was our luck because our own vehicle (4x2 hilux) constantly got stuck in the slippery icy mud due to constant rain and heavy snow fall in August and we were trapped unable to go back to Astore, to Minimarg, or to Skardu via Deosai
