Worth of the car really depends on how it was maintained actually. I.e.,
- Was it running on coolant or water? if Coolant when was the last time they changed it?
- When was the last time gear oil was changed?
- Which engine oil they are pouring and frequency of changing the oil?
- The last time they have changed the brake oil?
- Look at interior and it's condition, if it looks like abused or just used?
- Look at the engine bay, if that has been diesel sprayed then stay away, cause most of the rubbers part would have been hard as stone by now.
The car condition should tell the price itself, sometimes for the old car we pay premium only "IFF" they are well maintained.
For buying an old car, I would recommend search for someone in your circle who got the same car, (in your case it's Honda City) and can inspect the car along with you. Don't rely 100% on them as well and look/ask for the things shared above from the owner.
Another note, don't spend fully on the car and keep some amount so that you can quickly resolve any outstanding issues.
