Sir, what I mean by KESC not applying different slab rates is my bill was around 450 units during summer last year, now they are charging me the bill of 450 units using the slab that covers it, and not the marginal slab method that you want them to apply.
As, the bill was not showing this type of readings:
3.244 * 100 = Rs 324.4
0.015 * 200 = Rs 3
Total Gas Charges 324.4 + 3 = Rs 327.4
but rather this type of reading:
Your consumption is 450 units
Billed amount is xxxx
GST is xxxx
TV Fee is 35
Electricity duty xxxx
Bank Charges 8
FAS is -38 for this month and 175 for this month
Total Billed amount is xxxxx
So, you could easily see that even if you assume that they may be applying different slab rates and not mentioning it, I simply deduce all extra charges from the total amount and then divide the remaining amount with the unit consumption and it reveals that they are applying only one slab rate and not different.
Also, I am pretty sure you know there is a special slab rate of 50 or less unit so then I assume one should also count them too when applying the slab rates for electricity but no one counts them, Why????
And you may not be receiving any FAS but we the people of Karachi are still receiving FAS even in the month of December's bill too.
