Suitable Engine to swap in Honda City 2002 Exi

As i am in the process of modifying the car.. somebody please guide me what engine to swap in... My engine right now is good .....no problems... but is 1.3L

i want something like 2.2L or 2.0L ... .. turbo later stage

H22's ... are for around 1.4 to 1.9 lakhs....

b16 or h22a is great but then you will also need to work on your breaks and suspention

Good point there.
On that basis I'd say if you're going for forced induction how about F22BB1 with its award winning reliability. Think about it; its much cheaper than H or B motors, its stronger (I think strongest of any Honda motor back then) and its low compression engine.

I think there was a city exis for sale here on PW with a H22 swap.I think the owner had decided to sell the car and engine separately.Anyways,The point is he can help u with the do's and dont's of H22 swap.

What is LSD ?

The lsd powers both drive wheels under nearly all conditions, instead of just one. With an ordinary open differential, standard on most cars, a lot of precious power is wasted during wheelspin under acceleration. This happens because the open differential shifts power to the wheel with less grip (along the path of least resistance). The lsd, however, does just the opposite. It senses which wheel has the better grip, and biases the power to that wheel. It does this smoothly and constantly, and without ever completely removing power from the other wheel.

btw i fancy if thr is any bolt on swap over this particular model,ive seen allmotor h22 projects over this model but those were passed thru many alterations,cutting nd welding..etc etc etc...
i think the most reliable swap over this is b16a,b20 v.tec,but the best in mine sight is a d15 v.tec with a small turbo setup if one z gnna uz the vehicle as a daily runner+it fetch a reasonable power too.

Yeah D15 V-tech i think is a bolt-on as these cities were launched in thailand and Malaysia with this engine as stock.

how much do you think a good d15 should cost here? i am assuming there will be some re wiring involved. How much do you think such a project should cost ? without turbos.

D15's are getting rare, a healthy and reliable conversion nowadays could set u back for about 60K+- 5K ,including wiring and stuff.
Yes u'll need to upgrade from OBD0 (which is stock) to OBD1.

@fahad yar d15 (an immaculate one) would cost u around 70k max,we ev swapped it in a friends 95 dolphin a week back nd it costed around 68k.
its a nice decent setup with fun reving for sure buh its not meant for racing etc(n/a i mean).
regarding availability of d15's.......these are still sold like hot cakes with fluent supply.

Yeah - I am looking to race or anything. Still D15 should surely some awesome power to my city. Its a nice car to handle so a little more power wouldnt hurt.
