Sumitomo or dunlop

Im using Bridgestone Potenza GIII and im totally satisfied with them because i usually drive on the highway plus im a smooth driver otherwise these r little bumpy.

Go for Yokohama db if theyr available in ur required size. Otherwise some other in Bridgestone or GoodYear.
Michelin have very nice reviews too.
Continental and Pirreli are class but they should be very costly i suppose.

To all dear i bought Sumitomo... use them for two days they are pathtic tyres...Tomorrow have taken a leave form the office and will replace them from Bridgestone...As i was previously useing bridgestone and i was very satisfied, the road grip, handling, cornering, baraking was ammazing.....

Learnt a lesson no more experiments...and yes they are noisy, poor road grip, poor handling above all no braking....

For two days use of about only 88km have to suffer a loss of arround 13K

^^^ not happy to hear this, I did not experianced such problem.

among all my friends in Karachi I did not even hard of such a problem from Sumitomo for almost "0" useage.

If I have to choose between the two then, sumitomo's would be my choice. B'coz nowadays dunlop are coming from china.and a frd in tyre business suggests not to use them as he was having complains (road grip,noise,de-shape) from customer whom he gave these.

Dear Friend, Sumitomo is the Parent company of dunlop, If you look tyre closely may be you see "Sumi Rubber" Written on dunlop tires.

my suggestion would be say no to both of them and opt for another brand...

sumitom is noisy
and
dunlop has degraded it's quality..now it's just a brand name and nuthin... though rumours had it they are now chinese or sumthin...

increase few hundredx in ur budget and opt for better ones

lolx so much suggestions but still gone for sumitom; i think it's a bad step and i feel sorry for ur loss & u should spend ur hard earned money wisely posters here on P.w do surely have some experience so keep that in mind too

To all dear i myself have alooot experience specially in hondass...But made a mistake admited it...Now today after adding 15K more to a already of 26k which makes a total of 41K bought Yohohama A drive 195/55/15 they are more responsive than the old ones....Handling improves and Breaking is very good again...

Dear Umar,
Lot has been said. I am sure most of your driving will be within the city, brands do matter but are secondary the most important things you should look for is that tyre is SOFT. Press the threaded part to check.
Secondly see the thread pattern, more aggressive the more noise.

Shortlist few tyres and check them out on internet
