Summer Internship in an automotive company

Assalam Walaikum! I am in 3rd year of Mechanical engineering. I am looking for places to apply for an internship in automotive companies like Mercedes Benz, BMW (Shahnawaz) and Audi locally. What I want to know is:

1) What type of work is carried out in their factories since assembly is not done here, also if its mostly management so should I prioritize local manufacturers like Toyota, Honda or Suzuki because there is more technical stuff to do.

2) Is it even possible for me to get internships in any of the above mentioned companies? (My CGPA is 3.6)

You'll be disappointed to hear that these are NOT factories but more like mechanic shops and/or importers. The only internship you can get there is being an assistant to a mechanic (a chota to an ustaad) for changing engine oil, air filters, etc.

No company in Pakistan is doing any sort of design or development work. If you need automotive flavor, try PakSuzuki or Indus or Honda Atlas. You still will not be doing any automotive work but be attached with an engineer that oversees the companies' machinery in their production line like the mould machines, milling machines, press machines, paint machines, etc.
