The car might have been hit from front if repainted of touching is done.. There is no touching or repaint required to install sunroof.. Then why would it loose resale?

Spano had a bunch of very talented and skilled guys who worked on his car.
If you think you have got such skilled acquintances, whom you can fully trust, only then go for this SR.
Otherwise you might end up ruining your car.

Well one of the reasons to post this on PW is to get hold of talented ppl out there who can do this job ...... I am sure we can all use each others acquaintances for our benefits ..... that the power of cyber (H)(H)

answer is a big ''NO''.saying is somthing apart from ''DOING'' chap.
you got an 09.you know you will end up in what?ok lemme tell you.
1)u'l get a sunroof.
2)u'l cut the original roof to fix it:o?
3)who the hell would you trust here if we talk about 100% perfection?
4)ok you got it fixed by hook or crook.
5)u'l have to get the entire roof painted.(its what in principal you have to do).
6)who will buy the car later?
people would think roof painted?why?u'l say paint reason=roof they'l say paint=accident,roof=justification then?
do not ruin it i repeat do not ruin it.

As per Spano's project, no repaint required. They why would Applerocks would need a repaint?

you cut the roof a=install the roof and wil let the uneven depressions of cutter,paint damage as it is?
installing a roof isnt like you say a plug and pay thingy,cars you see with sun roofs get roofs after proper engineering,i.e water drainage,etc else u'l start in roof rusting:o
this just fascinates but practically its not as tempting as it looks.

As per Spano's thread, no repaint required. Its a neat clean job done. Then why would Applerocks need a repaint ?

@ehsan spano got a bunch of skilled guys with him plus look at the roof fitting(outside) do you find it perfect?u say water will drain properly after the rain,car wash from the rubber boundry totally?
and yeah these experiments are affordable with such old models,i followed spano's entire thread that time no doubt a great job was done.

Hmmm, Spanos project looks like a success to me. U might be right about other issues like proper drainage etc

Hey hey hey !!! Whats the issue in it ?????
I remember back in 2003 - 2004, Khalid Naeem had got it done in his lastest Se Saloon. Whats the issue in it? If we bunch of literate car enthusiasts also start having car dealer approach about re-sale, then we should not blame the illetare car dealers for their pointless debate to lowe the value of car just because of a minor touchup.. I personaly would buy this car over a standard honda city if both are for sale at the same time.
If i find it difficult to sell my car with aftermart sunroof, i,ll simply take out the sunroof, fill the whole with the same piece taken out at the time of installing sunroof and get it fixed and painted. Believe me in Pakistan we really have such denters and painters which would not leave slightest of a sign that the roof has ever been cut and filled back again.

THis is exactly my point..... i have seen a lot of mods being done on old cars .... Some very great restoration projects however havent seen any one take his Jigra to get a mod done on a new car.

Thanks Ehsan for your encouraging comments ...... I have an opinion that if i get this done succesfully the resale value of my car will increase not decrease !!! (H)

in my opinion installing a sunroof in any car in Pakistan is not a good idea.. reason.. weather of Pakistan is v.hot.. so u will not have any advantage of installing that.. and we dont have that much expert workers who can install it.. if you really like a car with sunroof.. buy a car that have original sunroof at least that will satisfy your mind...

it would be hot for any car off course in my opinion it will not be functional.. but if the person is much obsessed with a car with a sunroof why shouldn't he go for original one..
