@Apple you are asking for opinions but what I feel after reading your posts is that you want to do it real bad.

I think it's just a temporary chul, if I were in your place I would wait for some time and let the chul cool down

if god forbid the project doesn't work out the way you want it, your car will be ruined. At that time you will hate yourself for doing it.

answer is a big ''NO''.saying is somthing apart from ''DOING'' chap.
you got an 09.you know you will end up in what?ok lemme tell you.
1)u'l get a sunroof.
2)u'l cut the original roof to fix it:o?
3)who the hell would you trust here if we talk about 100% perfection?
4)ok you got it fixed by hook or crook.
5)u'l have to get the entire roof painted.(its what in principal you have to do).
6)who will buy the car later?
people would think roof painted?why?u'l say paint reason=roof they'l say paint=accident,roof=justification then?
do not ruin it i repeat do not ruin it.
i hope you get it.

I believe there is no need to get the whole roof painted ..... as per spano the project was extremely succesful and the rubber boundry covered all the cutting marks if any in it..... PLus if you view the pics in spannos thread .... he had used some sort of masking tape along the boundaries of the cuttings which eventually helped him not ruin the paint

Bhai jaaaan.. Read the poster's comments.. He wants to make his car the first PkDM with aftermart sunroof.. Its not only about sunroof

in my opinion installing a sunroof in any car in Pakistan is not a good idea.. reason.. weather of Pakistan is v.hot.. so u will not have any advantage of installing that.. and we dont have that much expert workers who can install it.. if you really like a car with sunroof.. buy a car that have original sunroof at least that will satisfy your mind...

Jahangir - commenting for the sake of commenting is not good man !!! i have already told in the thread that why i want to get a sunroof job done on my car !! there are thousands of oriels roaming around if i wanted to get one do u think any one couldve stopped me from doing it ??

Sherry Bhai - Coming a NO from you has startled me !! You yourself are very fond of mods on your cars - i have seen your RX8 and would rate it as a master piece especially with the lambo doors :):)

Dear Said NO bz I didn't wanted ur black mamba get hurt much during the operation. 2 main ustaad with a bunch of little angles jumping in out from ur mamba .. oOOoo.
Many things will be in line like wiring.. Cutting.. Installation for adjusting the level with roof etc & then closing back the all things to it original place etc...
The sealing of roof and air packing etc .. The thickness of sunroof and ur car roof should match correct as well as the seals for it etc

BUT

if u find a place whr there u have heard or seen sm project that it was done clean by sm professional skilled person which I have seen many PW have recommend then y not Go Ahead and infect em there to be with u & if u need any thing em there to help u out or to send Pakistan also em there to sponsor ur this project ..

Remember u have to risk and until u didn't take risk wht u have enjoyed & this is not that much complicated, only u have to select the correct material & correct workshop to make it done
