Supercharger in 10th gen 1.8 civic?

I want to put a supercharger in my 10th gen civic (1.8 liter model). I think its R18 engine. Can anyone guide me in this regard?

You can't just supercharge an economy sedan on stock internals. And especially that horrendous cvt. Your car will keel over and die.

oh yeah, forgot about the cvt....it makes some strange noises every now and then even as it is...lol

need a new car for these sort of things...

So you need to put in a lot of money in order for your civic to be able to handle that sort of power increase. Stock internals? Forget about it! And this includes the transmission too. I'm sure someone more learned could guide you on how to go about this.

The R18Z1 is capable of handling around 250-300whp obviously on a good tune and not being driven idiotically all the time. The CVT transmission can handle around 270ish NM of torque. I'd say this is a pretty good bump over the stock numbers 140hp/175tq while keeping the engine and trans stock.

However, if you're not really in to the modding game just get a 1.5T Civic. Immediate 30hp/45tq gain than the 1.8.

so what's a cheap supercharger (with clutch so i can turn it on/off) that fits right in ?

An engine specific kit would set you back around 5-6 lacs easily. Then add the installation and tuning charges as well.

If you're comfortable and have cash, a type-r conversion would be a nice project. Otherwise, just sell the 1.8 and get a 1.5T like most people have suggested here

The 1.5 Turbo comes with more HP from factory over the 1.8, and you can get some nice HP gains as well with some supporting mods and a tune.

In your case, switching the 1.8 out for a 1.5T makes the most sense, if it still feels lacking you have the path of a few mods and a tune.

You are not even sure what engine is in your car so why do all this hassle
Get a turbo get it tuned from maxpower
Get its limiter removed and get a bigger intercooler
And if you want to go step further install flex fuel kit that enables you to run the car on ethanol
