Surfing on E63 using Laptop Internet Connection?

Hi all

I have some question related to Networking,so I thought to post it here.

Anyhow please guide me,who is an expert in Networking

I Have my Laptop connected to internet via LAN Cable.

using OS: Windows Vista.

I am having a Nokia E63

I want to use my E63 to surf Internet using the Laptop Internet connection.Using Wifi.

I did tried to create adhoc connection on my laptop and used my E63 to search wifi and connect,

thou it connects to the WIFI,but when I surf any website on the E63 it says,

"No gateway reply"

Can anyone,or any Networking expert help me to configure it.

bro dont get in trouble..

go find a router ..attach it with ur modem and enjoy a wifi network in the area of ur home ..

it ll cost 1800 to 3 to 5 k...

u can be free from that lan card if have a wifi in ur laptop..

you cant do this...you can only do this if your computer / laptop is providing internet connection which is not possible...so better buy a sasta and acha ..wifi router..

i hav tried on my e50 to use pc internet on my phone nd i hav got the same thng (no gateway rpy)......nd i m still i finding to solve ths problem

Simple install ur nokia pc suit.
Connect your cell phone with the laptop
1. With bluetooth (if laptop has B.T option)
2. Simple cable connection.

Ask ur network provider for the password.
make a dial up connection with the help of ur network provider and here you go.

I dont know why the above ppl are recomending you wireless router and other tricky devices.

but any idea abt the Adhoc thingy..as i mentioned earlier........

i did made a adhoc connection on my laptop which is connected to internet via LAN Cable

and i bought my frnds laptop just switched on,his Wifi detected the Adhoc connection and connected it...

And "BINGO"....
I was able to surf the internet on my friends laptop even,i didnt do any settings there.......

So i hope that too is possible for E63....

Either the poster is a new user of wireless technology or he's confused what he wants to do.

To connect your laptop to your Mobile and using internet from the network provider (Ufone, Warid, mobilink etc), doesnt need any new connection or adhoc thingy. Just leave wireless lan, wireless routers and making any new connections....

Just try to focus wht i am saying.

Simple install nokia pc suit.

Press the button on the upper right corner (Connect to the internet).

Follow simple instructions and choose your network provider from the same menu.

Once you complete the setup. U'll be able browse net from your laptop using your cell fone network.

what you are saying is the procedure to use internet on your laptop or computer via Mobile Network internet...but this guy wants to use internet from laptop internet connection (lan) to use in Mobile...from Laptop to Mobile...and app kehray hay from MObile to PC..rite..if not thn chill

i've got wht ur trying to do!

bro so yaar u've done it all rite, i guess the only step u need to do now is to program ur laptop to transmit the LAN internet connection via wifi.

to do that, go to "Create a new Home / Small Office Network" and in there first select the option of "This Computer Connects to the Internet Directly. Other Computer Connect via this computer" then it'll ask u how u connect to the Internet, select ur LAN connection there,

next it'll ask how u'd connect to other computers, select ur WiFi connection there.

Connect ur mobile before performing this procedure.

Hopefully this is the only thing u've left coz ur cell fone is connecting perfectly with ur Lappy but only the Internet Connection is not being Shared.

Okay If I remember this correctly.
Right click on the "lan connection" on your PC and select "share this connection"

I'm pretty sure the wifi in the laptops is a wifi RECEIVER, not a WIFI TRANSMITTER.

So you won't be able to use your Laptop connection on your mobile.

You can do vice versa - using your mobile internet on your Laptop as KillerVtec said.

But to use your LAPTOP Internet on your MOBILE, you need a router.
