Suspension! a that big issue? i-VTEC 2014-2017

Dear All,
Form the day 1, we all have heard that the suspension of honda city is not that good, hard, firm etc. People have been harsh in criticism saying it almost as bad as mehran's. Some say its better than swift's. Let us be realistic and think once more. How bad it is? How bad? Lets do a true comparison.
I would really appreciate if only the users submit replies/experiences.

Its not as good as corolla or civic suspension but much better than swift or mehran suspension

i found city quite comfortable. I have heard a lot about its stiff suspension the reviews on forum are rated 0/10 for city and 10/10 for corolla that is completey wrong. If i could rate it honestly.. for city 7/10 and for corolla 9/10. I had cultus earlier so new city is a paradise for me.

Actually people who have driven Corolla and Civic will always bash City for its suspension.
When I owned Santro, I got the chance of keeping my brother-in-law's City for a few days and it felt like paradise to me too and I loved it. It felt like a big sedan to me. I thought I would love to drive to this car again and again. Infact before buying Corolla, I had even thought of buying the same City. Alhamdulillah I didn't go for it.

After that i got a new Altis, drove it for a couple of months and then again got the chance of driving the same City. The same City felt horrible this time. Suspension literally felt like a Phatta. I never desire of driving a City again.

In short, it is all relative and subjective. Coming from a smaller category car, you'd definitely like City and its suspension. However if you have kept or regularly driven a bigger or slightly better category car, then you'll hate City and its suspension for sure.

you can go for softer tyres for a better ride. change those eurostars asap

I had 2006 City and then later got 2017 City as well. Drove both side by side for couple of months and yes if compared with the old city the new one is stiff and makes more noise on the bumps or not so good road,
It could have been improved if they have kept the mark up to the old shape so yes they do need to improve this part in City.

One more aspect is that while travelling on long route, the passengers feel more comfortable in Corolla then City while driver i guess feels the same for both
