Yes Nissan's cvts are terrible but toyota's 'bit better' still means that they have recalled thousands of vehicles globally. Cvts are no way near as reliable as conventional automatic transmissions or ags systems.

Trade offs are there but smoothness and fuel economy is the reason almost every manufacturer is opting for it. Toyota has improved a lot recently and ChR also has cvt..

Now u r really pushing the paddle beyond the need, Suzuki cars are not even near what u can call a BETTER CAR, they are overpriced, stripped down, poorly built, sold with black mailing bullfreakingshits in my opinion, I mean yes they can’t offer the cars at 500k right now but don’t go any further and offer the junk made car at 1500k I mean boiling the minds literally, the cultus may be a good car anywhere else but this dinky is a 0 star crash test rated dinky when runs on roads literally wants to tell you that the driver is out on a suicide mission, let’s be logical on this forum shall we?

Cvts are old but they are the most fuel efficient if I correct the above discussion, CVTs are not DIFFICULT TO MAINTAIN but they are complex and difficult to implement sort of transmission, the downside is that they are noisy and known for their so called RUBBER BAND EFFECT and yes they are pricier than AGS but Suzuki is not pioneer when it comes to AGS like they say they are, so ur argument can be corrected if u say YES AGS IS A CHEAP OPTION IF U R LOOKING FOR AUTOMATIC AND FUEL EFFICIENCY BUT CVT IS ALWAYS THE BEST WAY TO GO and even after increasing the price of a small trunk car up to 1.2 mil you are still choosing AGS makes us go mad and it should because they are charging huge sums of money for every cost cutting measure they like to refer as INNOVATIVE WAY OF DOING THINGS...

Coming to AGS, what's wrong in it..? being used in so many asian countries. Are all countries looting people? Was ags invented by PakSuzuki? I already wrote cvt is better and infact there should be no direct comparison. AMT is actually like a wrapper over manual tranny and it just works. With current rupee situation..what can we expect wrt to price?

Suzuki has good cars as well here..ciaz.. vitara Cultus are pretty good cars.. yes prices are high but I can't change anything wrt price policy. Japanese showboxes are even more expensive here. Alto in 1.2 million with the expected features seem fine to me atleast..and i can tell u it will be real hot seller as well. A salaried person who works 9-6 cannot goto workshop frequently for his so called JDM car and in new category these cars are the only option.

I don't need to prove AGS since its being used in much bigger markets than we have and works well. CVT addition would have meant a heavy price bump in already very high price.

When it comes to Suzuki Pakistan, one should n't be expecting a lot as the quality of this vehicle will also be a crap just like the others. I have n't seen such a pathetic QC department than Suzuki. Poor PDI. I had issues with zero meter car the very first day. Suzuki has lost my confidence and I expect the same from their new vehicle. When they have 20 thousand orders at a time, what quality one should expect. If your're expecting luxury of Japanese version then you better be living in fools paradise. #suzukipakistansucks

Xulfiqar bhai is anti-cvt due to its reliability woes..We already have threads on this debate. Cvt had reliability issues for sure..but now Toyota Honda are using it extensively with some improvements.. so unless they give something better, we have to live with cvt...and its going well in newer cars wasay

Jdm one has cvt..Ags is in india.. Pakistan.Malaysia mainly
