W.S. Brother following are the general maintenance instructions, and they apply to most of the JDMs (would apply to your cars' too):
- Use API SN / SN Plus (preferably with RC) 0w-20 / 5w-20 / 5w-30, Fully Synthetic Engine Oil from any reputed brand, and ensure oil is genuine. Total Quartz 9000 Future series, Shell Helix Ultra, Kixx, ZIC and Caltex / Chevron / Havoline are some of the reputed brands here. You can choose any, and change oil + filter after every 5,000 Kms.
- Ensure Air Filter is clean. If dirty or completed its service life, replace it with genuine OEM recommended one and always keep it clean. It's lungs for engine.
- Use genuine OEM Oil Filter, and replace engine oil and filter after every 5,000 Kms.
- Check and clean Throttle Body (if reqd.) and plugs, after every 10,000 Kms. When required, replace spark plugs.
- Check Tire Pressure, and always keep the pressure as per OEM recommendations.
- Do check wheel balancing and alignment, if not done recently. Do also rotate tires after every 10,000 Kms, in the pattern recommended by your OEM.
- Regarding CVT oil, brakes fluid, coolant, etc. change them as per OEM recommendations (Coolant and Brakes fluid usually lasts around 80-100,000 Kms / 05 years, and CVTF for 50-60,000 Kms / 03 years. After that, they may require replacement).
- Also get brakes serviced after every 10,000 Kms. Replace brake pads when they are worn out.
- Get Catalytic Converter serviced / replaced, when its choked / broken.
If not done yet, get you car's auction sheet verified.
The one recommended by your OEM for your car. If not sure about them, take them out, note down the No. / type mentioned on them, take same pics, either install them back or take them to some spark plugs shop which sell authentic products, take the new ones and install them in your engine.
Get your vehicle scanned for any / all fault codes or issues, if sceptical.
