i remember my insurance client's Grande which was hit on first day of release from showroom in Multan. thank God he insured it from the dealership's floor - a single LHS headlight was replaced for Rs.34,000 (excluding labour) - other costs were new bumper+paint, bonnet small denting+paint, fender rapair - so the bill was actually over 55k on the first day.

Suzuki's parts are pretty expensive I have been saying that ever since. Baleno, liana were bought over Xli just because considering suzuki is cheaper.

The maintenance in the end becomes very hi.

Kheir no product can be compared to mehran because of its life cycle and parts being made in every corner of the country.

Rs.3000 for the bumper is still pretty cheap considering they have localized alot of parts.

If you see their is hardly 2 inches of gap between the condenser and the bumper of the new alto.

If you park it tight you might damage the condenser and the radiator.

60km/h is a very good speed it isn't considered slow. I don't know why people think 100-160 are fast speeds. Those are very very hi speeds.

I guess you are fortunate that the airbags didnt pop out else would have been a bigger damage.

And most probably the 3S changed alot of parts just because it's in there SOPs and that you are not troubled in the future.

Else a road side mechanic would have fixed your car in half the amount.

I was about to write all of this but @chinyoti brother specified every thing.

The beauty about this car is that is a JDM model. so you can go to sultan ka khu or bilal gunj and buy all the parts, you will find them in brand new condition with half the price of what OEM is charging you. Any roadside mechanic can fit these parts for you ....its the repair which messes things up.

BTW i have seen countless times in islamabad that DOGS/Wild Boar ripping apart a corolla or a civic..specially on margalla road which is next to my house. Very fortunate alhamdulillah you didnt get any injury because animal accidents end up in a disaster at times.

This cars front is literally very compact and short so such crashed unfortunately result in such things...

ok now the OEM Parts, brother i am going to be honest, i hate pak suzuki they have the most PATHETIC ILLITRATE STAFF in the planet..BUT any repairs from OEM cost alot around the world....its a bitter truth...since they dont repair anything the new part is being imported from the TRUE COMMERCIAL channels are duties and taxes are paid on it so it will cost this much.?

But we are very fortunate to get JDM variant alto, we have junkyards full off tasty OEM parts in fraction of price which would last same as a brand new part/.

But there is a problem not all JDM parts are the same. For e.g PK Alto has metal fenders while Japanese one has plastic. Also the front grill has a different design, although small in nature. There might be some other changes as well that we may not know about now.

This happened with me also 3 years ago on my Vitz 2010...I was on highway at a speed of 90-100...and my car's bumper was cracked and a really minor leakage was there on radiator and with that leakage I came from Jehlum to Gujramwala...I stopped 3-4 times to check the coolant condition and it was fine...U r right...Respect JDMS

Sir u r right...but the issue is with the chamber and shroud...and the dealership behaviour...and that thing about the new alto whose parts were fitted to my car...they will get a black bumper and paint it in their paint house and will fit to that new alto..then its about the prices of parts...matlab kaghaz jaisay parts kay liye itna pay karen...thats my issue...

Considering price of car, I believe prices are fine, altos condensor and radiator, 10 and 12k, as quoted by dealership
A guy hit cultus from front, got quote from dealership, cultus radiator costs 36k, condensor costs 39k and single fog light costs 18k
He was lucky, only bumper, fog light, front grill etc was damaged, both condensor and radiator were fine
So in cultus vs alto parts prices, alto parts are quite cheaper hence customer is on safe side
Major reason I believe for this is, alto condensor and radiator both are locally produced as compared to imported ones for cultus

All those parts are swappable. Only different materials. All screws have similar fittings.

This is part of the safety cell design, the plastic is not the bumper but the finisher only, the actual bumper is inside.

The plastic is meant to break off on very slight impact, and 60 kmh is not slow, it causes the car to have serious momentum.

Btw why complaining on that?? Its part of the current safety mandates of passenger cars.

valve guide seals,
cyl head bolts,
headgasket
Intake gasket
Throttle gasket
Exhaust gasket set
Injector O ring set

For nissan otti 3 cyl mitsubishi engine.

If you can get me these, i will place order for brand new toyota prius inverter pump.

They should be local arranged, and within hours, not days or weeks.

as far as i understand, the outer plastic covering which is commonly referred to as bumper here is not supposed to be there for impact resistance. you are talking about 60KMH, i would say that it will not even sustain the half of the speed. secondly guys the Japanese counterpart of this vehicle is more or less of same quality, even PKDM fenders are made of steel while the same are made of fiber in JDM. i think its the design of the vehicle due to which your car suffered so much damage or may be the dog was a little fat (fun intended). i had an episode with a dog in my 1st gen vitz couple of years back and believe you me my car suffered quite a big hit. coming to the prices, i think bumper is quite reasonable when the same for vitz or mira are priced around 15k to 20k in scrap market. secondly, you could have also gone for sourcing the parts from scrap market which would have been a little cheaper. but anyways, sorry for you loss brother, and lets drive our cars a little slow and with more caution.

in no way i am defending local suzuki, they are very unprofessional, they dont listed to complaints, and think they are above all. they were even reluctant to balance my wheels in 1st inspection and demanded payment. but what we need to understand is that EVERYTHING (using, living and even dying) is expensive in Pakistan, you are complaining about the cost of parts for a vehicle which is sold at an insane price of 1.5 million PKR.

I doubt if anyone at all can get a rs.3000 bumper for suzuki Alto from a japanese scrap part dealer.

I purchased honda city parts recently. Local/Taiwan/Malaysian parts are half the price of what scrap dealers quote you. (Becasue they are genyan) okay they are better quality but still.

A new bonnet for Honda city is 9500 Malaysian while japanese scrap bonnet is around 24,000 Honda pakistan isn't selling genuine parts anymore so I couldn't get rates.

Fenders 8,000 for a pair Malaysian. While Japanese used are around 9500 per side.

All the pieces i mentioned are one time use only parts, anytime they are worn/removed, they are scrapped.

New parts installation required to bring back to reliable standard like factory did.

I do recently came across such accident by cat, while travelling on GT road near Lala Musa on my Alto vxr 2019. But Thanks to Allah. I was safe from damage. The driver side wheel moved over cat at 60-70kmpl at night.

Sorry to hear about your loss, Alto made quality is really very poor as compared to its price.
I went to suzuki I-10 motor last month and saw a accidental alto, it was in very bad condition. But one satisfying thing was there, as its airbags worked and saved the passengers.

brand new mehran got hit by a dog on left side at 40 kph:

1 bumper cracked / broke
2 headlight went in
3 Bonnet bent
4 fender bent
5 cond / radiator bent
6. battery support tray dislocated
7 radiator FAN broke after colliding with battery tray

maybe the dog was @ 140kph
