Suzuki Alto 2020 Build Quality And Part's Prices

So, my Suzuki Alto VXR 2020 got hit by a dog on GT Road and the damage I had to face was leaked radiator, radiator fan, fan's motor, condenser, bumper, shroud, chamber and some other things...as I had no other option I took it to 3S dealership...and this is what I faced..

1. BUILD QUALITY = Parts were like a piece of paper and one could easily pick the heavy parts by one hand
2. OVER- PRICED = Part's prices of this so called economy sector car is more than Toyota and Honda and they say "kay jee nayi gaari hai isi liye abhi parts mehangay hain...3000 ka bumper hai aur uskay uper 5000 ka paint hai".....Bill is attached below
3. STAFF'S RESPONSE = They make it as expensive as possible.."Sir yeh bhi kharab hai aur sir yeh bhi kharab hai....Jidher haath dalo...sir woh sara hi kharab hai...aur sir apki gaari main issue hai...hamain tou koi complain nhi ati gaari ki....is jaisi gaari hi koi nhi"...They force you to replace parts other than repairing them
4. TAXES = As it was my first experience to a 3S dealership and I didn't know about their Taxation Issues...Rs.9000 is charged as labour tax, service tax and sales tax...
5. CLAIMS = My Audio System, Roof Bars, High Mounted Roof Lamp were not working and I had to face some issues with the door rubbers...When I said them to claim it they said kay sir hamaray pass abhi samaan pura nhi..abhi jugaarr laga detay hain...and when I was paying for my damage I got to know that they bought a brand new car from their warehouse and fitted that new car's parts on my car...now i don't know that what quality of parts they will fit to that brand new car...
   They also said me to replace my head light which had a minor crack on its back frame..and I forced them to fix with some Magic and that light is working perfectly...they then said me to replace Engine's Bhatti which was Approx Rs 70000 according to them....
   The thing I learned today was that never buy a local Suzuki and 3S dealership will be a no go area for me now...

Sir my father was driving ...and he was driving on a speed of 60 km/h...he was passing through a small town before wazirabad..speed was not too much...the main issue was the quality of parts..I couldn't take the picture of bumper...it was like a piece of paper.....

Sorry for your loss. Yes, you are right, dealership charge premium and the cars being assembled in Pakistan are all crap. This is what happens when there is no competition and government is high on some sasta nasha.

Bumpers are indeed like paper. I once saw an alto, don't know what had hit it but the guy was literally picking up the whole front grill which is more like part of the bumber that had cracked and was hanging like cheap plastic.
Since I own one too started taking extra care and avoid rushy areas or areas with heavy traffic but in Lahore traffic has really become annoying and very congested.

That's pathetic and horrendous. The thing is, there's no external body that keeps them in check. They are there for one purpose only. To generate numbers and fill their quota. That's it. It's laughable the way they treat customers and provide aftersales support.

If only there could be a governing body that audits them and force them to adhere to quality control standards set by that governing body, then the entire play would turn out to be entirely different.

It's a shame.

Few months ago, I was on my way back by midnight, when just after crossing bridge by Ammar Shaheed Chowk, Chaklala, RWP, a dog came out of nowhere in the middle of road, and my Vitz hit it (although had fully applied brakes but could not avoid the inevitable).

The speed was around ~50 kmph, and left side hit it. Luckily, the dog survived, and to my surprise, not even a single scratch on Vitz (let alone be dent, or bumper, fender, etc. getting damaged, etc.)

Respect JDMs!

Even there is lots of difference between JDM Alto VS PKDM Alto, when it comes to even build quality alone (leave features, shashkaas asides).

PKDM Toyota in particular, and PKDM Honda, still maintain some level regarding build quality and coming at par with International standards, but Suzuki, least concerned about anything and give a ****.

On road price for top of the line PKDM Alto is somewhere around 16-17 lac PKR, but can't even bear such impact.

Damage to bumper still makes sense, but leaked radiator, and damage to radiator fan, fan's motor, condenser, etc., makes build quality questionable.

Because they are here to do business (of course without any business ethics), and mint max. money from the consumers, due to lack of competition, or any Govt. policies, etc.

It would have been best, and ethically and morally right, if they could have spared the brand new car, and managed genuine, OEM parts from Pak Suzuki, even if some time was reqd.

Aik cheez ko theek kartay kartay dusri ko b nai baksha, and to its buyer, it will be sold as absolutely brand new car, with everything fitted from the company.

I feel bad for u. I only had the pleasure of closing the door of a alto vxl, well it didnt close on the first attempt but did on the second with a huge bang and the owner was ok k normal hai and the door sound was horrible.

Further, its normal practice of all dealerships to loot customers and start pointing irrelevant things to be replaced...they never focus on repair but only on replace because they have monthly targets of parts sales given by Honda,Suzuki,toyota...so instead of selling it on genuine reasons they do these tactics.....i think this was ur first visit to dealership, so now u know how to deal with them....not everything they say has to be done and u can simply shut them off and say "u know my car better than myself?"...i hv literally done this many times

The parts replacing from zero meter cars is very old and just normal...i have seen it happen many times at Honda dealership in 2013, when i worked there.

So its just the same with all 3 Goons not just PS

Your event reminds me of mine back in 2010 when i also hit 2 dogs(having chit chat on fast lane) at night in my cultus 08...i was at 60, braked enuf to reach maybe 40, hit them hard...mehran behind me was sleeping so he hit me too.....just want to tell that back then built quality of PS was better than today, that i only got a minor front right bent fender and bumper curved in a bit.....its really sad to see PS quality going down the bottomless pit today.

Well u got brand new parts. Luxury which isn't available with JDM shit. Plus parts and service anywhere in Pakistan. Then prices are right considering these are BRAND NEW.

Lol. I m feeling pity for you. Ever visited scrapyard? Brand New parts are available for JDMs aswell on few shops you just have to be good enough to find one. Even good quailty used works well as they are high quality parts not like pkdm shit

Suzuki's parts are pretty expensive I have been saying that ever since. Baleno, liana were bought over Xli just because considering suzuki is cheaper.

The maintenance in the end becomes very hi.

Kheir no product can be compared to mehran because of its life cycle and parts being made in every corner of the country.

Rs.3000 for the bumper is still pretty cheap considering they have localized alot of parts.

If you see their is hardly 2 inches of gap between the condenser and the bumper of the new alto.

If you park it tight you might damage the condenser and the radiator.

60km/h is a very good speed it isn't considered slow. I don't know why people think 100-160 are fast speeds. Those are very very hi speeds.

I guess you are fortunate that the airbags didnt pop out else would have been a bigger damage.

And most probably the 3S changed alot of parts just because it's in there SOPs and that you are not troubled in the future.

Else a road side mechanic would have fixed your car in half the amount.

By your definition suzuki parts made in Pakistan are different than same parts made in Japan? You just rejected Certifications like ISO etc.
And scrapyard and new parts? U in ur senses right? And about brand new parts try asking prices of brand new parts for Honda N Wagon or Nissan Dayz or even EK Wagon or just Suzuki Alto JDM for japanese parts.

Yes new parts of JDMs are expensive no doubt and yes people import new parts for market JDM cars aswell. About your ISO certifications thing. Just tell me one thing is our Alto bulid quailty at the same level as compared to JDM? Yeah it's a No and mostly parts are localized aswell so no standards. I hope u got the point now.

It seems like the quality of this new alto is really poor. Our mehran 2013 got hit by a dog at speed of 60 to 70 kmph and only the bumper broke.

Does that mean they all suck?
