Suzuki Alto after only 2000KM

Hi All!
I purchased a Suzuki Alto AGS 2 months ago after paying an own amount of 80000RS. My Hopes were very high as I had driven the Japanese Alto.
Cutting it short, I have driven my Alto almost 2200 KMs and issues have begun.

1. You can hear a hissing sound of Fuel Pump inside the Cabin.
   The rear passengers can hear this annoying sound of fuel pump which the dealership claims is normal and I was sent home after being told "Sir yeh New gari say bhi ati hai yeh Chabi lay lein aur try kar lein woh New gari khari hai"

2. The doors are almost as difficult to close as the doors of a Suzuki Bolan
   The doors never seem to close unless ofcourse you smash it as hard as you can. To this complaint I was sent home with a very scientific answer by my dealership. They said and I quote "Sir yeh gari ka size chota hai islea Air pressure ki wajjah say darwazay close nahe hotay. App sheesha down karke try karein normal close hongay" Which is actually true. If you try it with the window open all doors close just fine. But where is modern engineering if they cant even solve this problem.

3. The AGS gearbox is a pain to drive
   The car seems to run just fine once it is up and running at a constant speed but once you slow down and it downshifts it jerks just as if you were driving a Manual car with zero experience of Driving. Jhatkay maarti hai in a lay man's language.

My Advice to All, Don't waste your precious hard earned 15 Lakh Rupees on this car!

I prefer the Japanese version of this also. With more options and durability.. Heating seats, digital climate control etc..

Thankyou for your honest observations. I would like to tell people who only bash new entrants like FAW or United to read this post. These issues are not limited to Chinese cars but to well established setups like Suzuki as well. We should promote competition, only then we are gonna see improvement in quality in lesser price.

The first is absolutely normal

Second is also absolutely normal too....u should be thankful cause it means ur car properly sealed throughout

For the third there are happy owners of AGS here on PW who can guide you better on the use of this new AGS system....the AGS is a manual gearbox with a computer on it changing gears for you, so it will act like a manual box

Rest if you dont believe in trying new things and learning about it rather than cursing, then we cant change your mind on that.

So sorry to hear you are not happy with your investment buddy, let me break it down to you. Pak suzuki guys are illitrate monkies they have no idea what they are selling so we gotta stay one step ahead and use our best friends help thats google, glad you are on pakwheels now greatest car guys are here.

1. When i switch on my car the fuel pump activates for 3-4 sec and then sound goes away, when the car is start you will not hear its noise. If you do you should get it checked. I hope you are not confusing this sound with AGS module whirring sound of electric motor as you can hear it when you Open the driver door Whe car is not on.

2. Thats normal for all pak suzuki car range. New cultus is the same aswell i have experienced it in new cultus too which i have owned. Its the vaccuum thats about it. Some cars ask for a slight force in the last mm of closing the doors. I have seen many cars behaving this way specially budget cars out of pakistan too.

3. Ok heres the thing, if you Have owned a manual car before you will understand quickly otherwise read it over and over again until you do. You gotta mimic gear change on the accelerator lift your feet and then press it again to let the actuator change the gear.

Well I agree with both regarding AGS transmission...I was 99 cent inclined for buying AGS when it was 13lac priced...if you carefully handle it on smooth road than even shift is as smooth as any AT car...but if u use it in D mode in hilly area then yes shift is quite annoying hat was the only reason I stepped out of bank with incomplete DD...
