someone gave me an opinion claiming that these 660 CC rides cannot cope with the heat in summers and their AC do not work properly and there are complaints of heating up.

Can you people guide me in the light of your experience. I am looking for a similar ride these days in ISB.

AC etc is perfect. These cars are a lot better than the local Pakistani Suzuki/Santo or Coure.

And a/c decreases avg for 15 to 12 km/l

A JDM alto is powered by an engine that generates 50 horse power, with it's tiny body it actually has somewhat the same power to weight as that of the car I can see in the avatar i.e. a local assembled city provided both are auto. Why would it not accelerate with an ac ?

Toally agree on the fuel consumption issue.
Don't agree on Car's Acceleration issue. AC puts load on the engine but negligible. The best part of its AC is that it doesn't give that "jhatka" tht is common in pak made cars during AC power on/off...also no sound of AC while drivin like It is in pak made cars...

In my car it puts a lot of load on engine and you almost have to floor the pedal where it turns of ac automatically and car accelerates normally

Because acceleration is related to torque which is low.

Also these cars have low ratio gearing and diffs thats why they are zippy and fast till 10p

My JDM alto 2007 got its CV joint (godda) in trouble due to its boot rupture/crack. It's making sound on extreme cuts only. I replaced boot by Pakistani alto boot, but after few days that also teared off. Then I got another boot similar to Pak alto, which also got slipped from its position & godda got exposed.

Can anyone recommend which boots I should use for japan alto?
Also I need to replace its godda too, mechanic said Pak alto godda is same. Is it true?

Please advise, it's urgent. Thanks

This problem is with all JDM alto's please leave it as it is there is no solution of this problem.
Its a manufacturing defect!

Every 20 kg weight you add can be felt in changed throttle response. AC load affects it more when u drive it in Pakistani style which you have to so being in Pakistan. 4 people. AC on. Some luggage and it becomes more of a liability to manage on road. Up aide of economy remains for which it is designed.

True that. One should keep expectation level realistic from these small cars. 54 hp are useless mostly because u cannot rev them like crazy in our traffic conditions.

A car is supposed to do what i have stated. This is what they are built for. If doing this is a strain on a car. There is something wrong with it. And the car can run its own compressor but at a cost of serious decrease in acceleration even on straight road. Lets keep facts as facts. These cras are already optimized 20 kms less comared to normal sedans on same rm ranges. AC on and weight makes them at more disadvantage and tbhis happens with all cars. These two factors bring performance down. Its just that in these cars, that decrease takes you way down. Even fuel consumotion is suddenly affected.

That was what I was emphasizing on, the unit for volume being quoted for output
