Do not go for fully synthetic oil also. This engine works perfect with mineral oils or you can use semi synthetic by Mobil 10w-40.

When the speed goes from 25 to 35 a ger ger ger sound has started coming. On normal drive it's absent. It's when I accelerate from 20 to 35. What could be the reason? Silencer?

What are reasons for knocking in Alto HA25S 2010 K6A. When you accelerate it from standstill it knocks for a second or two. No CEL. Using Shell and Total 92RON fuel. Fuel consumption 15km/l local 20km/l long.

No I don't think so. I didn't check that. However, there's an very expert guy sitting in johar town for computer scan and his workshop name is Ali Electrician. They have their main work shop in Bilal ganj and they started this second branch to cover the customers this side. That guy Ali is pretty expert in scanning and fixing the errors but he is quite expensive. I paid 2500 for new CVT box calibration with new head assembly.

Knocking reason is bad engine oil grade and weak valves or might be you don't have correct valve clearance. You always need to use regular petrol and don't ever try hi octane. Secondly, use the engine oil grade 10w-40 and if it still knocks then try 20w-50. These engines have hydraulic tappets and you cannot adjust those tappets expect finding a kharaadiya to grind the seals of that particular valve where you do not have enough clearance. Hope it will help as I have experienced this and gone through this procedure. After getting valve clearance you may drive 10 - 20k that engine more but in the end you must have to think for head assembly replacement.

Knocking is there only on slow speed. start at 20 and diminish at 25 or 30 on inside colony or smaller roads. Nothing on big roads, no knocking at all.
It also start coming after driving 15 to 20 minutes on smaller roads with speed breakers.

Knocking usually occurs at slow speed in 2nd to 3rd shift. Try Mobil semi synthetic 10w-40 next time. I reckon it is much better than SHELL.

Recommended oil by the car manufacturer itself is 5W-30 fully synthetic oil, open the hood and you'll know what i am taking about. Synthetic oils perform better than mineral oils in any condition whatsoever. Don't believe me? Google it yourself .
Whosoever says to use mineral or any other grade oil is just using his own hit and trial method here and is probably misguiding people for sure. I have driven my Ha 35S for 20k kms now on 5w30SN GRADE oil and mileage , acceleration and overall performance is simply amazing.

Keep enjoying that oil and knocking too. Synthetic sucks specially 5w-30 in this small engine. If you have looked that hood carefully, there's written engine oil grade too and that is SJ or SH. Which is closest match with 10w-40. I am even thinking to switch to 20w-50 mineral oil in summer.

Here's the company sticker. Kindly enlighten me about the grade thing which you just mentioned here and if you need help i can post a Google translated image as well.
And for the record i am not enjoying the company recommended oil grade, i am loving it mate. You are entitled to your opinion and you can even drive your car on khula oil but please do not misguide others who come here for authentic information.
And, last time i heard my engine knock was 6 months ago in my 2014 honda city before i sold it out.

This is not the engine I am talking about. Please do the correction as you're misguided. I wrote against reply of alto 2010 engine model HA25S 2010 K6A. It doesn't work better with synthetic oil and recommended api for this engine is mineral oil. However one can use semi synthetic 10w-40. I used total 5w-30 in this engine for only 10k and then valves got weak and knocking been increased. In result I had to replace head assembly.

I specifically mentioned my engine type (HA 35S) in my first post that i made regarding the oil grade. Later on , it was your next post which was infact directed towards me where you asked me to enjoy the knocking and ofcourse the statement where you mentioned that synthetic oil sucks on this small engine.
At the end, i would like to rephrase my point once again; always use the company's recommended oil grade in your cars engine, period.
Having said that i am pulling out from this discussion. Cheers
