Hi.. Can someone tell me where can I find Engine Number of my recently purchased JDM Alto 2015 660cc? The showroom guys showed it to me just behind the radiator beneath a slivery foil. These are just 2 digits and one alphabet. Today I went to get it registered and the Excise guys told me that this is NOT the Engine Number as it is supposed to be a lengthy one. Where can I find the engine number?

Dear it should be R06A … as its the same engine for Alto manufactured 2013 onwards.

My Alto 2015 had a small steel plate installed on body behind engine. Sames as all other cars. It had Engine and Chasis no mentioned.

R06A is the Engine Model used in Alto's..

As I was interested in jdm alto but prices very high with few units from show room available unregistered so pkdm alto 2019 appears cheap n good option

Yes right now its a decent option considering import is closed so dealers have started charging more for last few available units.
But the only decent variant in VXL. VXR doesnt even have power windows or abs. Most people just want something cheap so it will still sell like hot cakes.

What JDM offers is beautiful fit and finish, paint quality, better durability of the car. You must have seen the pictures of the test drive VXL that got into an accident. Pak Suzuki has removed the rear brace bar too

Better to make sure first. I have seen suspension of local and JDM and there is quite a lot of differences

Reset your car by disconnecting both batteries. Remove both terminals of Engine Startup battery. Then remove charging cable of battery under passenger seat followed by removing controller jack. Leave the car at least over night. This will hopefully remove the idling blinker off, it worked for me. Connect inner battery first then engine startup battery. When you start your car engine leave it to train itself. Computer will complete training in 3-5 minutes. Best of luck.
