I need little help regarding gear oil replacement , I own Suzuki Alto Eco Idle stop 2013 model, on its gear oil gauge "suzuki cvtf Green-2" is written, plz can some guide how much gear oil I need to purchase, and which brande should I get . . .My plan is to complete replace of oil. . .

Genuine oil is avaialable with 4 litre packing at Suzuki dealership and also in market and it will cost around 12k. I'm not sure regarding the capacity required.

Dear I believe your car must be CVT. I changed my ALTO ECO Idle with Havoline Fully Synthetic CVT Fluid 4Litre pack at 60K KM but I should have changed it earlier not max than 50K. Check the dip stick of gear oil and see what is written on it. If it is CVT Green 2 or CVT Green 3, the oil I mentioned above is compatible with both of these. Also if mechanic removes the oil pan completely and not the nut only then almost 3.7 or 3.8 Litres comes out.

Hi ~ the oil which suzuki is importing is for new alto ags which has a ags technology. Will it serve the purpose for cvt gear?

I did, but result was not satisfactory. I felt few jerks at times and my gear become little noisy. Have you got the ecstar for the dealership?

Basically this oil is not for local Alto AGS, they have imported for Suzuki Vitara and can be used for JDM Alto in which CV2 green is recommended.

I have Alto eco 2013, ~60000km driven.
Also getting that kir kir sound from engine.
It started some one/two month ago and occurs mostly when starting and accelerating the car in initial 5 minutes or so. After which it usually subsides; but now noticing it more and more recently.

If you have found solution or any other adverse effects associated with it then plz reply.

Salam, my alto 2014 178k on the odo recently had a problem of engine oil light coming on while driving and then going off after sometime with no apparent fault. Engine oil quantity is not being reduced by the engine. Even oil n filter was changed a month back, so cant say the filter is clogged. Anyone faced the same problem can help me with the solution?

Assalamualaikum

I have JDM Alto 2015 CVT. I'm facing load issue on a/c.
Following done so far
Spark plug changed
CVT fluid changed (CVT green 2)
Oil changed (0w20)
Engine compression tested. All good.
Throttle body, all sensors cleaned, catalytic converter cleaned.
Compressor replaced with Honda life compressor due to bad cooling.
New radiator, cooling coil and condenser
There is no issue in AC cooling.
Any help or suggestions?

Hi everyone,
I have a 2015 suzuki alto and I'm facing an issue regarding the fuel gauge. It's been showing me some strange behaviour from the past week or two. It started when the fuel bars were going down too quickly, like i would drive the car for about 30 to 40 km and the gauge would be at half tank full at the end of the drive, then when i would start it up again, it would be at more than 3/4th of the tank full. Recently it was at half and i went to get it filled up, i told the guy to put it on auto stop mode and the fuel pump auto stopped after only filling 4 litres of fuel. The gauge was still at the half mark. I've driven it about 185km after that and now the fuel light is on and it's at its last bar.

I'm guessing that there may be some problem with the sensor in the fuel tank.

If any of you have faced similar issues or have any suggestions please do let me know.

AoA. I own suzuki alto eco s 2014 (Imported in 2018). The car has been running great for more than 3 years now but for a year or so it has been making a strange grinding/whining noise on deceleration especially if light braking is applied on a stable speed. Sometimes the noise starts even without braking (just lifting foot off accelerator). The noise is more persistent with AC and during rainy season. It is quite clear that something related to engine braking is causing it. This is really toubling me. Got brake pads changed recently. All wheels serviced by suzuki centre. Wheel balancing/ alignment done recently. Oil change/maintenance done regularly. Apart from this one issue, my car is running like a dream.
If anyone can offer some guidance in this matter, I'll be extremely grateful. I'm based in Rawalpindi.

Check if your rotors are straight or wavy
Simply remove the wheel and rotate the wheel and see if the noise is continuous or comes randomly.
If it is random either your discs are not straight anymore or caliper pins needs greasing so both pins apply equal pressure or brake pad clips are reshaped and brake pad doesn't sit straight.

You can also remove brake pads and caliper and then rotate the disc to see if noise is there then its due to bearing probably
