OK now... some months (8+) ago, father wanted to change the E. oil of our car, he took the car to local shop (newly opened) for oil change and he poured original guard oil (probably fake) and within couple of days car started to emit white smoke. and my father suggested to overhaul the engine. Out of curiosity i changed the oil from another local shop to shell and from that day, smoke has vanished.

Questions:

(01). My local shop wala has poured more E. oil in the car than was required (03 liters) and now i can see the engine oil is way above the upper limit as visible in the engine oil checker aka steel ruler. Now, can anyone tell me how to take out extra oil form the engine?

(02). I have tired to remove the old oil filter by forcefully rotating it but have failed to do so. can anyone confirm whether i should apply more force to it or there is another way to remove the same? --- and after removing the filter, should i expect the engine oil spilling form the pipe?

(03). I can see some wires going into engine bay (undoubtedly going to spark plugs). can anyone confirm how to remove the spark plugs so that i can insert new one? as i know pulling the wires are going to damage them.

goto your nearest oil change facility (petrol pump). Ask him to remove extra oil either by his sucking machine or by removing the drain bolt underneath the engine.

Alto spark plugs are difficult to remove due to less space.

Thanks dear for pointing out drain bolt.. as soon as i read about drain bolt i immediate searched google and PW forum but unfortunately could not found the location of the bolt...

However, after google/PW failed me, i went outside and took pana aka wrench and vigorously searched for that bolt underneath the car. My sense told me it should be near oil filter and after some time i managed to take little oil out of it (by losing it slowly). As i neither have place to store oil not have extra oil, i am going to replace the oil next week by myself.

However, i am still curious on how to remove the oil filter!

In b/w is the engine oil colour ok?

ODO meter is at approx 127.3K (2005).. and last time mech. (i myself purchased) poured 10-40W, it was shell yellow bottle 3L. and i really dont remember oil grade etc. i guess it was HX5 API SN..

Arrived home at 6:40. I already had purchased suzuki oil filter and oil Havoline 20W-50 API SG (previously was using shell 10-40w API SN)..I did searched for Caltex Delo Gold , well, it was written "HEAVY DUTY DIESEL ENGINE OIL"... So i drop the idea of using the same !

So, now the story. I unbolt the screw and took all 'burnt oil , it was smelling like that' in bucket. well, then i tried to remove the oil filter. It didnt budged from its place. I used pipe wrench, piler but they failed me. I was getting really fed-up by that time. So, as a last resort i tried to lubricate the oil filer, when it failed then i tried to hammer to lose it. Well, everything failed and that F* filter was hanging there without even caring about my hard work. Well, i though its way too much, and poured the old oil into engine (even though drain bolt was opened).. Well, after that my mother episode was not good...So, after cleaning the oil mess, i went to mechanic and changed the engine oil for free. (kharchi).

Problem: Every morning when i open my radiator cap, water level can barely be seen and it takes approx one cup of water to fill it, previously it was all fine till the day (last Sunday) i decided to clean the radiator, any guess why it is happening? (no water spot/radiator leak is visible in the morning)

Well, guys i am back with DIY episode 2 and this time it was a radiator cleaning service. On a fine Sunday early morning,i tried to find a radiator drain bolt and as usual failed to locate it then i lose the rubber pipe both from bottom (radiator lower connection + upper hose) . Well, after flushing it for several time (both engine part and radiator) with normal water, i filled it with abro engine coolant ( the only coolant which was available, lying since year or so)..

It was US 1 GAL. i poured it all and + some water. At first pipes were not tight and started to leak then it i tighten all the pipes. I started the car and started to pour some water for 2-3 minutes. Work Done!! used the car all day! temp were little higher than usual!
But........very next morning i.e. monday the water from radiator was not visible, i poured the water in it and filled it.
Same thing is happening with me every morning... any guess what it could be?

Small hoses in the back of the engine bay near the firewall must have had a leak and when u flushed it, the dirt stoping the leak must have been removed. Sometimes u can see the leak very minute but its there u can only see on close inspection or if the radiator is very old there must have been a clogged leak with rust in the radiator in the middle somewhere where u can see or feel a minute one. Worst case scenario headgasket might be a little damaged from all the revving and trying to take out water from opening the hoses and its eating a little water. Or maybe the summer heat is getting to it and reducing a little water everday is normal. Thou it should suck water from the bottle when the level goes down and btw a cup of water isnt that much of water being reduced so just relax.

I bought few days back helix , no logo at cap no logo at seal and it had white colour seal .

Problem with me as I am new with alto vxr 2006 ..I notice same thing , a cup of water every today ..I have yaris hatch back for 3 years now and it never needed a drop ...I have recently over hauled engine and I did all possible procedures but still a cup a day .

Today i visited to ac mechanic...he said everything is fine but ac air leakage...
When u adjust the switch to face there is also some air in foot side...
Mechanic said ther is a sheet behind ac grills which melts
He said we open the whole dashboard and put new sheet.
Charges 1800
Or any ohter issue.
Mechanic is abubakar universal ac.

Mechanic told me the same ..how much it cost to change bearing , where bearing is located and its function
