It would be helpful if you can mention the total KMS of your journey because getting to Lahore and back in 3000 seems a stretch. I went from Lahore to Isb and back, drove the car around 900 something kms and burnt 6000 rupees fuel and the car was giving over 17 millage.

its about keeping the car in speed bracket where the car comfortably gives best average. i can second @hash737 claim to this extent that when i drive my VXR (manual) at around 80 to 80KPH i get live average of about 29-32KMPL and this improves my overall mileage in the background. over and above that speed range i have observed that i get around 19-20KMPL on live average indicator.

the car generally gives an average around 20KMPL in city with a very light foot drive. fingers crossed, this may improve after i shift to fully synthetic oil at 5000 inspection.

However, one thing I have observed while driving in Karachi when you stuck in a bad traffic congestion for a while, it badly affects your overall fuel average. At that time live average reading becomes zero.

That car had the K06A engine. Pakistani Alto has R06A, which is much more advance. Hypermiling can truly give you great fuel economy.

We are talking about going on motorway here where 80 KPH isnt possible secondly i am only stating to share the millage car was driven with the amount of petrol being used. I think that would be a practical way of stating millage. Even after the first oil change the max average i have got from my Alto is 19 with driving in DHA and no matter how hard one tries we cannot take it above 50 to 60 kms max because of traffics specially in office timings as well as speed limit of 45KMH.
