They were pouring sae 90
Make sure that correct grade is being poured in Your car

So finally got time on saturday. Woke up called the dealership took an appointment for the 5k service.

I politely asked the service advisor, oil konsa daleinge, he said sir ultimate. 10-40 I said 0-20 daldein. He says sir company ne mana kia hua hai. I said okay. Carry on (wagonrs manual says 0-20, while no where Altos manual states 0-20) maybe the engines tweaked.

I dont mind the engine oil. It's okay. But what's astonishing is, since someone mentioned Altos oil filter is made in japan and it's very expensive. When I got the bill for rs.2650 I thot they didnt add the oil filter on checking its rs.203 LOL.

I asked the advisor he says sir jhoot nae bolra since suzuki is closed we are out of stock. This filter is totally okay. It won't harm your cars warranty.

Now I'm thinking to find the original oil filter from market and switch to after marker 0W20 caltex aswell. I agree the oil and filter used by the dealer ship won't harm my warranty but why risk my car.

Yup jab Alto ka available na ho tou Wagon R ka utha k daal detay hain and jab woh bhi available na ho local GUARD ka filter 200 rupee wala yeh daaltay hain

if they put any stuff then no issue of warranty but if customer put in a premium stuff like oil then warranty void. what sort of behaviour is this?

Alot of people in this group argue about using 0W20 In the Alto because it's being used in the Japanese alto with same engine code.

I dont agree with that, paksuzuki people might be jerks. But WagonR being in production since 2014 has mentioned on its owners manual about usage of 0W20.

So being an expensive oil Suzuki or its dealership shouldn't be having issue with owners using 0W20. Specifically since its available in suzuki packing since 2019.

So engine used in the paksuzuki Alto is definitely tweaked for usage with thicker oil.

oil is dependent on clearances and I dont think they have adjusted the clearances.
