The same thing happend to me. They installed indonesia based CULTUS oil filter due to shortage in lockdown time. When i asked about negative effect of this moďification, supervisor añd technician relaxed me by saying it is completely bolt on and no leakage at all. Besides that enjoy original filter from company.
I have concerned about 10w40 multigrade oil regarding its stability at high mileage about 5000 interval compared to synthetic oil.

I think we shouldnt doubt the rnd of Suzuki japan. And no, the engine has not been tweaked. Its the same engine as used in manual/ags version of 8th generation jdm alto

The engine is not only similar to Japanese AGS and manual but its similar to the CVT transmission aswell.

The same R06A engine. But the engine is being assembled in Pakistan. Pakistan has hotter temperatures compared to japan. No wonder you have that tiny gril in the front of the Pakistani variant. It actually helps keep airflow better.

About the engine oil codes 0-20 is not the only oil recommended, different grades can be used in a particular engine in any vehicle. Like I said I am using 0W20 for WagonR even before suzuki introduced their own 0w20

R06A with cvt transmission has VVT in it. The ones in jdm ags/manual variants are vvt less. And engines are manufactured and assembled in japan. R series is much newer than k series from suzuki. The newer the engine, tighter the tolerances are so we should use thin viscosity oil in it. I am not saying it, suzuki japan has recommended it for this engine

Previously I thot that too, but recently i came to know the engines are assembled here in Pakistan. Atleast the K series is being assembled here.

I have both wagon r and alto vxr (2019). I recently switched to 0w20 in wagon r. What i believe abut alto is that its engine is too new to be used with old non/semi synthetic thick oil. I will stick with recommendations of oil in jdm alto`s manual. And if by assembly you mean just piring engine block and head together then that might be possible locally. Believe it or not, 10w40 recommendation and "39HP" figures are just copy /paste from either mehran or old alto. And btw, FYI thicker oil causes poor heat circulation and more heat buildup (due to higher viscosity) in engine so I would definitely never ever use that in my car. I dont know who did the RnD for PS on new alto, but it was definitely wrong in engine oil recommendation

I to might replace the oil and oil filter. But I still need genuine evidence for the fact why is the local engine so noisy. It is definitely detuned to run properly on our fuel

There is a guy in whatsapp group who owns both jdm and pkdm alto. I think you need to ask for his feedback as well. According to him, his jdm 8th generation alto works just fine on local fuel. Also, majority of owners believe that engine has not been detuned to absurd "39HP" level as claimed by paksuzuki. The reason for engine in local alto being noisy is not detuning. Its just due to poor insulation in the local version of car

Hi noise due to low insulation might be for the driver. The noise is noticeable outside aswell.

Lower viscosity can also cause friction between engine parts

Yes i have been using JDM Alto on normal fuel since the beginning. My car was a 5 grade 5200km driven import so basically brand new and current odometer reading is 60,000km and normal fuel has been used.
All you need to make sure is that you get fuel from a good reputable pump.

As for the de-tuning the PKDM Alto i think they might have done slight tweaks but not so much k 39HP ho gaye One think i know is that local mein Copper plugs hain as compared to iridium in JDM. Spark plugs wont make a great difference lekin aisi choti choti cheezain maybe tweak ki hoon.
Performance difference feel hota hai in AGS and it feels lower than JDM but thats due to AGS trans and not the engine. I am pretty sure that if you race a manual VXR alto and JDM alto the VXR would win way easily

I did race my 8th Gen when almost brand new with a 80,000km driven manual 7th gen and i lost obviously and yes my car was originally 5200km driven, i verified the auction sheet myself.

End point i dont think local alto is 39HP. Max 2-5 HP ka difference ho sakta hai in Local. Major slowness in PKDM is due to AGS trans.
