If I may add, once you put 0w20 in it, the noise decreases considerably specially in idle even outside. At least for me it has.

I fortunately finished 1st tank on my own ( atleast I fuelled it to full and refueled it) it gave me 16 kmpl. With the 10W40 Suzuki Danish motors poured into it. (415 kms for 26+ liters)

Although before that it was doing 17-17.5 if I am not wrong. Since the lock down mostly me and my father are driving it. And because of long trips the average should be ideal.

Fueled her up yesterday, today its driven around 97 km the meter still shows 18.5-18.7 with fuel meter showing all bars full till now.

About the 0W20 there has been alot of concern on pakwheels for last 2-5 days about reliability of 0w20 in Pakistani temperature.

I have been using it on my WagonR and I have only felt it unbeneficial with fuel average atleast.

I am switching to 10W30 on WagonR once I switch il see what happens.

For Alto il stick to owners manual or dealer recommendation for now and I might replace it with base grade Yaris once the lock down situation is over. Altho I love it for its size. But I guess we need another sedan at home. We have all dinkies Alto, WagonR and Vitz besides a Corolla.

I am okay with the sound for now. I hope using 0w20 reduction of sound is real and not a placebo effect.

As I mentioned above that the dealership has used a rs.200 wala oil filter on my Alto. I'd never ever use. Maybe if (demag ghumei, il go change the oil and oil filter some day) but for now jessa hai theek hai.

Rs.2600 for maintenance after 5000 kms (7 months) is pretty cheap. Considering i am spending rs.6000 on WagonR for 5000 kms service.

Since I have been using 0w20 in wagon r after driving it 30k on 5w30, i am feeling night and day difference in pick and fuel economy. Furthermore, idle vibrations are gone. Also, the "reliability of 0w20 in pakistani temperature" you are referring to is just a paranoia nothing else. Infact, 0w20 fully synthetic is more stable on higher temperatures compared to non/semi synthetic 10w40

Can anybody confirm if VX variant is avaliable now in showroom? As I was reading some blogs where it was mentioned that they had stopped its production in 2019 end.
I am planning to get one as second car for daily use and school pick and drop

Bro if you can manage then why not go for vxr? Factory fitted AC and 2x Airbags are big plus points.

Thanks, i was also thinking of it but price difference is too much considering AC and Air bags only. Also as it will be majorly used by my wife for school pick and drop inside our housing society therefore i was thinking of VX as its max driving speed will be kept under 30KM/hr .

The small black caps, on axle end of Alto vxr rim, fall off easily. Did anyone suffer the same?

What can be done with the rust once cap is removed?

Does Alto VXR have proverbial hil assist or climb control? I had applied the hand/parking brake. Tried to go up a slope/ramp and it worked just fine. The car would move upon pressing accelerator and then stop upon removing foot from accelerator. Parking brake stayed engaged meanwhile and i did not need to touch it. The whole process was so smooth that i guess they have supplied some sort of feature to resist car rolling back on a slope.
Here is what i did
Applied parking/hand brake.
Pressed clutch and pressed gas
car moves up a slope
presseed clutch and removed foot from accelerator
car immediately but nicely halts
All of it was so smooth and nifty that i was able to go up a slope and make a sharp left turn along a narrow passage.
Was i making a silly mistake or have i really discovered a feature of Pakistani Alto VXR 660cc ?

Should i get car seats covered? Are covers removable/washable? First hand experience only please, preferably with pics. Similarly, please tell me about full-fit mats like 5d for alto vxr. Again, first hand experience only preferably with pics. No guess-making please.
Are fenders of Alto VXR made of fiber-something material instead of metal?
Should i cover floor carpet with leatherite / faux leather sheets? I am refering to the stiching they do after removing all seats. I dont want it to cause problems. Can reinstalling seats mess with functionality of airbag/seat belt?
If i keep using steel wheel rims instead of getting allow rims, what kind of risk/danger/problem do i run into? many say changing rims void warranty.
To protect sharp edges of doors, Should i get side skirts or door trims or whatever they are called? They can be removed easily?

I bought air bags only. Car Alto was free with them. So i dont want to spend more on it unless necessary. So with that in mind, please tell me what else do i need to do/add to my car?

Mine is alto VXR 660cc PKDM.
There has been a talk on 0w-20 lately. Perhaps via PM, please tell me whether i should keep using 10w-40 because summer ambient temperature is 43+
Fuel consumption seems normal. I am ok with engine noise. maybe, dont fix it if it aint broke?

Its not a feature...you can do this in any other manual car....but you would be riding the brakes and straining the engine while trying to pull the weight of car and dragging rear wheel, which is not recommended....

Just do it normally like people do....when stopped on a steep slope going up....pull handbrake, release clutch like u normally do to start creeping fwd, as soon as u get in motion release the handbrake....then to stop again, brake normally with pedal and clutch, when it halts, pull the handbrake...then get ready for the same process to go fwd.

Please use 0W-20 only otherwise you will ruin your engine in few years. Pak Suzuki started misguiding people since 2014 when they launched Wagon R. All their new models require 0W-20 but they kept pouring honey in modern engines which actually reduce its life.

I own 2015 wagon r and i am using 0w-20 for long time and it's more than 62k driven. It still runs like new.

WagonRs owners manual recommends 0W20. Suzuki at that time wasn't offering it.

Yes Suzuki didn't offered 0w-20 at that time and I used to bring kixx 0w-20 at the dealership and forcefully ask them to use it since they don't accept parts from outside

I switched to Suzuki's 0w-20 when they introduced it.
