Got my VXL AGS today, car is good MashaAllah. Just one observation that on the first gear i felt alot of jerks and also car has some lag in pickup especially on traffic red light.
Any similar observations, it could be beacuse i am normally using Civic X and this one is for my wife but still feel alot of jerks

Surprisingly they also gave me 1 year free maintenance.
So basically its oil and filter replacement free of cost during first year Or 4 times which ever comes earlier.
I was not expecting this but im happy they gave it.
Rest car is very spacious as compared to any other car

The jerks are because of the manual transmission under the umbrella of AGS.

You can manually put it into 2nd gear to avoid those. And the car changes from 1st to second quickly. Also goes down to 1 if the speed is very less because it struggles to pickup on 2nd gear.

You will also have to use the manual mode when coming out of a mall parking on a slope. Because the car would keep shifting between 1 and 2 gears.

there is a trick ... like in manual + - mode... just tap up the gear lever for gear shift.. no need to tap down for slowing down, gear will shift itself.. again tap up up up up for gear 1 2 3 4.... i liked this way more funny and comfortable. interestingly if i tap up-2 up-3 up-4 from gear 2 quickly .. car will smootly accelerate like cvt ..... Any one tried this? although its not a correct way to skip middle gears... but using manual mode is more cool if you can use it properly..just tap up when you reach to acceptable noise(3k rpm)

It doesn't works that way. You might be able to skip gears at times fooling the ecu. Usually it doesn't up shift if speed is very low.

For example on idle you cannot shift beyond 1 and 2.

Similarly at very low speeds you cannot take it to 3 or 4 or 5.

Even if you do. Its like pressing the clutch and struggling it to slowly pickup. In case you don't know AGS has a clutch and you can damage clutch plates if you start playing with it.

Hey guys,
I need your valuable advice, someone(I don't know who it was) hitted my new Alto while it was parked in a street, at pillar of driver side back door. As you can see it in pics. There are two dents, one is very sharp and other one is minor, but still paint has been removed from both spot.
Please suggest what should I do, please suggest good denter painter or workshop in Lahore.

Use touchup paint where paint is removed. Rest leave it as it is. This is normal wear and tear

Very very eaay to fix at home. Take of the inner linning hammer it gently and voila. Fixed.

as far as i can recall there are no holes underneath inner lining

Yes i agree but slowing down is auto and just tapping up is more quiter (@3k rpm)

my car is driven above 3000km till now... just had one confusion; when driving in manual mode is it ok if i let the car downshift automatically and just upshift when needed; is that ok or will it cause damage to the gears

Totally okay. Upshift when you need, it down shifts when it feels like

Dear Alto Owners, i need one help regarding one observation with my new VXL that when ever i parked the vehicle after driving there is slight smell (like burning rubber). It might be becuase of CAT or i dont know what or may be as car is brand new so may be its usual.
Can anybody else has similar observations?
