Bro, I'm not sure which grade oil you should use but generally all oils and fluids are pre-poured and topped up in a new car except fuel. In addition, your car should have an owners manual with details of which periodic maintenance is required to done and which oils are to be used. Just follow that schedule. I have a Honda City and I get my car's maintenance done as per the maintenance regime detailed in the manual.
As for warranty, car dealerships are really stingy when it comes to honouring warranties especially if any modifications have been done to the vehicle. Hopefully, changing the multimedia panel should not cause any electronics malfunction but who knows? I was just advising you to be cautious. I hope nothing happens and you can enjoy your car as much as possible
5000 km or six month service is free... how much they charge you??? What are charges of general maintaince service while changing oil???
They cost me service charges 1000 instead of 1600 for brake service, nut bolts tights, tuning, engine oil change, obd scanning... i had different scenario.. it was 3000kms bt 1 year old car... they charged for this... 0-20w 3lit box and filter 4600... plus tax
Its better to get first oil change at 1000km. If you want to keep your car under warranty then you must visit dealership and have to use 10w40. If warranty doesnt matter for you then you cn switch to 0w20 after 1000km.
So i should never drive on 5th gear till 1000kms done? Only till 4th gear is permissible during breakin period?
I am surprised as i havent heard it before to not run the car on 5th gear. During breakin period all you need to do is to have soft foot on the padel and avoid excessive breaking. Some guru also recommend to not exceed rpm beyond 4000 (in my case of civic) other than that you need to enjoy the ride and dont take too much tension
I am also expecting delivery of my vxl in a day or two. I have one question that it is mandatory to replace the engine oil at 1000k (to intact the warranty) or we can live with it till 5000 km as i done before with all my cars (toyota, honda, suzuki)
I have a manual alto, and this is my first car; so, I have no previous experience. Please advise when should I change gears; for instance, should I change to 2nd gear after 10km/h speed, to 3rd gear at 25km/h speed, and so on. As there is no rpm meter, so I have to rely on speed in order to change the gears. I would appreciate if anyone can guide me.
There shouldnt be any noise while driving... the shift before there is little more noise(3k rpm)...
Its imp to do some adjustment at 1000km like bolt tightening. You can visit other 3S dealership.
I am also getting VXL from Suzuki International Motors, Quetta.... the owner Kamal Kakar is my friend ..... i'll also get 1st free inspection at 1000kms
Ask him to give it in writing, and make a video of him stating that.
He will do it. There is a checklist with some check points that are looked into after first 1000km. Break adj if required is done. Chassis bolt tightening is checked. Oil levels and coolant level observation is made. car is jacked and checked for any early abnormality or something that might have been missed b the assembly floor.
So yes get it done and write a complaint to PS on their official email and also call them and register a complaint with the dealership and concern person name. Mr Salman might have a change of opinion after that.
Thank you! Yes, I shall definitely write to Suzuki about this. There is another 3S dealer in Quetta, I'm thinking to visit them as well.
At 1000 general inspection... 5000 km oil change is recomended
I am agree with you. But if we read ps manual. The 5th gear is overdrive gear... means we have less input but more output. It is used as fuel saving gear.. you can not drive slow on this 5th gear. It will cause more strain no engine. So. In break in period. We can avoid to use this 5th gear.. atleast first 300km. Hard breaking is banned in this time. Always warm up car atleast blue cold engine light turn off before drive car or 1minute minumum warm up.
There is no harm in driving on 5th gear. Now a days break in process is done in production. I even drove my car on 140km on motorway when its ODO was 500 km . Now my car is almost 11,000 km driven, and its giving me around 23km. Have a look on below video, how smooth car is on even 140km
Use the easy way.... Change gears at 20, 40, 60, 80kph.
If u r cruising at steady speed in city then u may shift to 5th and drive at 60kph... U would be saving on fuel.
Or if u want to be more light footed then change gears at 10, 30, 50, 70
Thank you so much for the nice explanation. I change to 3rd gear at 25km/h and at 40km/h the engine starts to make sound; therefore, I have to change to 4th gear at 40km/h speed.
I m agree with you for break in if car. But. Why ps suggest to avoid hard breaking in first 300km.So. Break in peroid have some èffect on egine life.
is this auto or manual
